Democrat Ellison is a big proponent of so-called criminal justice reform that pushes the idea that we cannot hold someone accountable for his or her criminal activity because to do so would be racist and unfair to the criminal. Ellison believes in scold-and-release sentencing, bail reform that puts dangerous criminals back into our neighborhoods, and defunding the police. So when two felons with long rap sheets shot up a bar, killing one woman and injuring 14 others, Ellison, rather than admitting his reckless policy ideas were to blame for the carnage, sued a lawful Wisconsin company that provides thousands of jobs to people all over the Midwest.
