Yeah, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, we love Tom, we love Tom, sometimes not always. Anyway, hello, Tom, please say hi to the water stationers, that's, Hi, I was right, don't spoil things, don't spoil things, I'm just saying that you know, I was right, you were delulu, and then I was right, fuck on, and we also have Ian, the lovely Ian is with us today, welcome, hi guys, how's it going, and it's me, Lily Kay, who's completely normal and not delulu, so shut up Tom, anyway, so, we first gonna get into the initial thoughts, without any spoilers, that's gonna be the call of this conversation first, no spoilers, nothing, just like, you know, what we told. And we're gonna start, it's Steph, ooh, okay, well, you know that feeling we got seeing and or how unique it felt in the Star Wars universe, like it just, it felt so new and fresh, and that's kind of the feeling I got from this show as well, it just felt so new, like they were doing a different type of storytelling, a different type of character development, and it was so fresh, and yet it felt like it blended so well up with everything that had been set up with high republic stuff and all across all the media, that freshness, that newness, regardless of how I felt minute to minute, was just great for me, and by the end just seeing how all the pieces fit together, I was invested in these new characters and these stories, and I just, I wanted to go back and discover more, so it was definitely very inspiring to me, and just really, really good feeling, I love where people are going with Star Wars now, I'm feeling really good about it. Well, to start with, I was a bit disappointed and a bit indifferent, because I didn't see any of the pre-release stuff or interview, so I had no idea of like, the twist at the end of episode one, and I had in my mind something completely different, so I was like, oh, I'm so keen for this, and then when that happened, I was like, ah shit, and I think I messaged you in like, straight after, I was just like, fuck. And so I acknowledge that my attitude towards that might influence my thoughts in the first few episodes, but even then I was sort of just like, okay, it's cool, I guess, and nothing really like, wrapped me, but then from like the second half of episode four onwards, it was sort of like, an upwards trend of like, okay, this is better, this is a banger, oh shit, this is kind of cool, and then episode eight, I was like, that was fucking cool. I had a few issues with like, how they like, structured some things, and like, how they could execute things differently, and like, it's not like, favorite by any means, but I still think, as a whole, it was probably like, top three of Star Wars Disney+ shows. But yeah, Rocky's start for me, but then ended up, I feel like, it nailed the landing, which made it all better. That's sometimes what everyone wants, you know, especially when it's something that starts off a bit slow, if they manage to, like, bring you in as the season goes. That's, I think that's sometimes the best scenario in the TV show. Like you'd hope that it's like all, like, bang out after bang out from the get-go. Banger! After banger! After banger! After banger! After banger! After banger! After banger! Even it's rarely the case. That's like the thing you want the most, like you want to just be every episode bang-a-bang-a-bang-a. But I do think they did a good job of sort of telling their story and sort of like making you eventually care for this planet story. Plus, right, even if for me at least it took a bit longer than, like, Steph and other people. Ian, what did you think? My dad's spoilers. Overall. Fuck yeah! In the end. Fuck yeah. A couple of rocky moments here and there were a little bit too much for me. But overall concepts, love seeing new eras of Star Wars, love seeing new bad guys. Just loved it. Fuck yeah. That was great. I don't think I need to explain more because, like, otherwise we can't into spoiler territory. Just, fuck yeah! It's just going to roll with that. Just going to roll with that. It's fine. For me, it was already good because it was different. So from the gago I was like, yes. I kind of needed this from Star Wars at this point because as much as I love the skywalkers, and as much as I love that story, I was like, let's try and move on from that, please. Just at least a little bit. And I think they managed that very well, actually. And, you know, the only thing I knew about this show before it aired is that it's going to have two of my favorite people. Well, three, if I'm completely honest because, you know, I'm going to talk about it. They talk about it. And I was already intrigued. I was like, I don't even care what this is. It has three people that I really, really love. And I love watching them in anything they do. So like, it's all good already for me. And it was, it was good. It was really good. It had it flows. I, you know, I think every single show has its flows. And this one is no exception. But all the cry out about all its mistakes, yeah. Read that for laughing, honestly. Like, I did that sometimes where the fans were complaining. And I was like. But, but Lily, the age breaks canon. They're not supposed to know about this stuff. I'm like, oh, my God. I'm also like, how ridiculous it is that you can call your hand in a line chamber. Like, how dare they do that. I'm actually, he shouldn't be there right now because he's not old enough now. And, but the book that I read like 20 years ago, it does, they doesn't happen. Oh, my God. How can they do this? Oh, my God. Oh, my God. And they ruin Anakin's character. This, like, how dare they. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Like, they wrote, they're breaking canon. They're blown into prequotes. Everybody's Star Wars. And guess what? Yeah, it's wrong. There are no white dudes in the main role. No white dudes. On the I can't relate guys stopping you look like me fucking triggering me right now Like in my hand, I'm hearing That's wrong, that's wrong. Why are the breaking cannon the not breaking cannon they've explained everything shut up shut up shut up shut up Will you shut up shut up shut up shut the hell up shut up shut up shut up shut up shut up shut up oh my god Wow, like people are whipped aren't real Anyway, I really enjoyed it. All right. I think I think that's how far we can go without spoilers Mm-hmm. So now if you haven't seen the acolyte which would be surprising because it's the most wise show Surprise watching and enjoy it for what it is. Oh, don't enjoy it. But like, you know for normal reasons Yes, don't be a dick about it Easy peasy lemon squeezy. It should be anyway. Let's get into We can't go episode by episode at the end of the day But we will try and like keep a structure as much as we can obviously And I think the easiest way to do that is what we did with avatar is we I'm gonna just gonna Take it into three or maybe four different categories and just we could just gonna throw it in I think The first thing we should talk about and get it out of the way The bad and the good first round is gonna be my question. Let's get it out of the way What was the thing or things that you didn't like in the show this time? Let's start with Ian because he was so short before then I'm not short. I'm sure I'm a large man The short meds ain't it's large I'm modern man. I look down on them because I'm from a more advanced society I'm Renaissance man. I look up to him because he is on average four inches taller than I am Off you go off you go. Come on. I mean that it's not about the story that I think the The worst things about this were that some of the production values would just were a little bit You could know with them and I it's hard to do scenes where there's two twins on the same Oh Okay, and especially two twins doing a fight scene for example It's hard to do that and make it look like they're the actress So it was just very noticeable in places where body doubles were snatched out and put back in I just didn't I didn't quite like that and and then some again some of the sets at the temple just felt a bit Cardboardy to me as well that the production values in general were In places were very noticeably Cheaper where where they shouldn't have been cheaper, right? I understand that was possibly Because they didn't have the budget for it just like they said they didn't have the budget for the counter knacker That's interesting. I don't know if I paid that much attention to these. I'm not gonna lie. Maybe I was distracted Tom Tell me about the bad things Well, just to quickly pick you back off Ian. I didn't notice much of like the sets stuff that both but me the CGI points bothered me instead like It's specifically episode seven when they go on the speed of bikes To mean that it looked like like an early PS3 cutscene when they were just like it looks like I'm like oof I noticed that one. Oh and there's just a few examples of that throughout where it's just like it didn't ruin it But I just met I maybe go. Oh, yeah, that's really odd to CGI But my biggest was the pacing and like the information of episodes three and seven I don't think they should have been just solo flashback episodes. I think there could have been a different way to like Execute it's like maybe like into weave it with like more like present present day story, so then it just didn't feel like it came out of nowhere Because it kind of as it stands. It's just like story story flashback Story, but we don't acknowledge that like there was a flashback at all and to me I'm just like you could have like even just like book ended it with like, you know Maybe in the abstract or she's having a nightmare or maybe she's relaying it to Jackie and a good old your horde So they know your odd your odd So like it frames it better and like in the context of the story or episode seven You have soul talk to me and that's the framing or you have When OSHA has the helmet on that's the how do you frame the flashbacks? And I just feel like if they did that maybe would have flown a bit better For me at least initially. I was just watching just took me out of the stroke So I'd be like, oh, yeah, cool. This is fun But I can't get back to the stuff that I care about I think now that now that you said it like it's yeah I think I have to watch it all of it together To see if it still applies, but yeah, I definitely had the same tools like Another flashback, right? Like the second last episode flashback. Yeah. Yeah, it was the full episode as well It was it was a bit of a hard and break. Yeah, turn. Yeah, I think my problem But it was mostly that it didn't have enough juice. I think To fill out two entire episodes about basically the same story but from different point of views because I make his problem. I Love the story. I think it's brilliant I love that it's it's more on on the smaller side and then opens up towards a bigger story at the end basically But my beloved knee zoom jay will be master soul. I Don't think That the motivation that they gave master soul made sense it made sense in a way where Yes, he felt some kind of connection towards us all and you know, that's why he felt like he was in the right hand whatever, but I think they didn't make it Strong enough or or they didn't deepen that that storyline enough for me to be like Yeah, okay master soul will do this and and he would be in the Lulu land Even I'm causing so many deaths because that's been man. Unfortunately, he did called many deaths with this one decision So I feel like that was more there that they just didn't get into and that's my other problem is that once again the episodes to short I think There were so many more things here that we could have gotten into To get to know the characters and their motivations better because I I think that's where the whole thing Lacks a little bit where I'm like I needed more. Yeah, all these characters. You want to be invested. Yeah. Yeah Yeah, that's it's that investment and that that is leads right into exactly what I was gonna say is that you know, we're opening up with these Jedi being killed assassinated apparently apparently but not with weapons and okay, so why but what did they do and I Haven't even had a chance to get to know who they are or why they're being Targeted, you know, I feel like a Little bit more so I would have been invested in that for me I you know, I've been a fan of Kiriam Moss for so long So being able to see her as a Jedi. I was like, oh, yes, this is gonna be amazing and then she dies and I'm like What just happened? You didn't even give me character development or this woman's Story and I'm like, okay. I don't know what to expect now. Was this just a cameo for her? They pull the scream didn't they pull the scream famous actress and then D Charles Chapman. I'm like, okay, so now I get to Dean Charles Chapman rolls in a row where he's committing suicide. Oh, great. Why? Yeah, so yeah, I agree I agree I Think if if they would and I think we complained about this with a so-ka as well that I I really don't understand my day. I'm not getting like bigger runtimes on the episodes right because there is clearly more here That should be told I think To give like I know I know it's money. I I understand that but at the same time. I'm like You are the biggest company in the world You know like You should be able to Do your finances in the way where it's it you know gives extra room for your writers and directors and Creatives to create more my only my only like theory on that could be that all of these are written as really long movies First and then chopped up into episodes like especially with both with the so-ka and theirs I could I could see how this could just be a three-odd hour movie that they did and then they're told Okay, chop chop chop. We need eight of what we need eight of these episodes. Oh, yeah, and so that's why like they're all Or for all especially all Disney plus yes, they're all sometimes are all inconsistent like some 40 some are 20 some are 50 Could just because they're trying to chop it up to meet the episode count. Yeah Bad batch was kind of like that too True. Yeah. Yeah, that's true. They're going into this already with a story They're trying to tell from beginning to end in whatever time they're given So if they say okay, well, you've got eight episodes to tell this story Now suddenly they've got to start chopping it up and it's like how do I chop it up to do? So I guess in some respects They did the best they could with the eight episodes they were given and but I also feel like maybe they could have altered how they told the story based on That link To make it a little bit easier in the beginning to be invested characters. Yeah, I agree Hey, I have no problem with any of the motivations now after seeing the whole show I don't have any of the problems with the motivations. They could have fleshed out, but I don't I don't see Especially that episode seven does tell you the motivations in retrospect Yeah, you don't have a clue. What's going on with carry-on. I see you don't have a clue. What's going on with? weird weird guy Jedi who just sleeps or is in a coma or whatever Torbin yeah, that guy Don't have a clue. What's going on with him You don't have a clue what's going on with Kell Nacker until that that episode where you start to See the motivations of everyone. It tells you. Yeah, I don't have a problem in retrospect and sold in in my eyes was He was the exact same as Camere in the end that he just wanted an acolyte. He wanted to be able to teach someone And it was a mirror image, but in a nicer way or nicer way Yeah, I know I I agree with that and I don't have a problem with that part. I think That there was more To him and to his character because what we never really got is like Why did he feel this connection to OSHA? Specifically to OSHA because me was there as well and he was like, but who cares about me? I want OSHA and interestingly enough. He was the one who never recognized OSHA and they were both there anyway, I feel like that Even though I still think that he was one of the best characters Mm-hmm. I also think that he needed more and that but that's that that was really my only Like big problem story wise like I would agree with you as well like I I understood the motivations in hindsight Yeah, and all that I also didn't mine's like I didn't mind seeing the same flashback twice Because I like the idea of showing how perspective shifts how you see events. Yeah Like they could have condensed it. Yes, but also it was cool because I can say three You're like, oh cool these witches are a lovely dovey. They're they're they're bros their besties Mm-hmm, and then the Jedi look like the evil outside is coming to steal the children But then you've watched it said seven from the Jeff's perspective and like well We must save the children and they sing even if we know that they're bad. It's still like They feel more in the right Even if they're not and the witches seem more like sort of ethereal and more like mysterious and like Evil it that's really interesting to me because I have it the opposite way around where in the first one yeah, I thought there's That the Jedi were the good people trying to save OSHA from from the witches And the second one the Jedi were the bad people who are only in outfit for themselves and trying to snatch them away That's what that's interesting that we both have separate views of that I agree with you know That's how I saw it as well like you know the the Jedi looked more like the good guy in The first flashback and then when we got the second flashback. We were like oh No But yeah, that that's what makes this interesting and you know different people is coming together All right, if there's no more need let's talk about the good I am a sucker for a good mystery and good expectation subversion. So for me I was patient and Said okay, they're gonna tell me something later. That's gonna change my point of view of what I just saw I'm ready. Let's do it At the same time like knowing it feels like everything I watch now Whether it's Star Wars or anything is trying to do that to me. So I'm like constantly You know in a I I'm not never gonna believe what I see at this point but at the same time I love that and in My own writing that's what I do I tend to I give like you know Here's 30% of what just happened Shaped in a way to make you think certain ways about certain characters And then turning back around and telling you a different point of view that gives you And I I love that It's not clear. Who is right? Who's? Wrong was there really something wrong or was it because the Jedi were trying to control? What was being done, you know, and and what is the bigger story going on? That you know that they're cluing us in about By telling us this small or more condensed story I just love having characters that I can really get into like I really I'm interested in what their background is and what they're going to do. I am invested and I'm now like, okay. Tell me what's gonna happen next Where where are mayan ocean ahead of two now like so I I love the setup And and so that that made me really kind of happy by the end You know to see to be on that journey and to have those emotions from episode to episode in terms of good I agree. I also liked how it was sort of a smaller scale different time period all that fun jazz I really like the fights like yeah, they was Like the first one where it was in dara versus may just felt like it was ripped straight out of the matrix All missing was the sound fix of That's always missing Then like, you know the fighting episode five between Community and all the Jedi that was sick. I also like how like I saw some people complain Oh, how did he defeat all these Jedi so easily, but then like literally the next thing after Our boy yord was like he doesn't follow the rules of combat He but he messes with your head. It's like well that just explains how he could murk like five or six Just random Jedi yeah, right? So I like that like the helmet was sick as fuck. Hey, he's so good. How could have had a bunch shit I'm like damn dude, so um, but then even then like I I think my favorite episode even with the finale was episode six And because it was just it sort of put the brakes on but in a good way And I liked saying how characters were finally talking to each other about like the important things like I mean It's like you're OSHA like You're like super powerful and like maybe they're scared of you And then like they had the whole sort of like dialogue and like the sexual tension started building I was like, oh my god And like then you know You Pedro Prescott here, you may be a little thirsty there And then like you know may and may hung around with soul and all that sort of stuff That's where like I like those sort of moments and we got more than I expected especially the back half and then that that final fight that was pretty cool and like And yeah, it was it was different from what we've seen from Star Wars vices even in this own show And I'm just like this is it's different is cool. I like it And then there's the big thing at the end, you know, how like OSHA bleeds souls kyber crystal And I liked how they make sure like no, she's touching it Through what it broke the car the crystals touching and she she an angry girl and she like as she's killing soul It turns right. It's fucking sick. Yeah, that's not how it works time. That's definitely how it works Actually, it is how it works Because that how it happened in Jedi fall in order and that's how you bleed kyber crystal and yeah Thing is that online blueprints clearly indicate that they be as independent of the guidance matrix So we were wondering just where the air lies in it not real fam Oh, yeah, it's like Those they've been not mine Don't forget that like moments like those sort of over show what I do in life Where it's just like these cool moments or like these moments where it's like they dug really deep into like the connections between the characters Yeah, those were like my favorite bits even though Yord was taken too early from us. I agree. I agree. We lost. We lost. We lost the yord horde in episode five and was devo Never I never fully recovered from the loss of the yord horde I'm sorry. I'm sorry for your loss. I'm sorry for you. Let's give him a minute Tom. It's gonna cry now Mm-hmm. I can't bear now. Okay, good. Good. Good. Well done on Well, my favorite thing is is the downfall of the Jedi I loved the way that they they settled the Jedi as Farable in this in the series it's I it's it shows exactly what was going on in in the time before The clone was type stuff where they thought they were untouchable. They thought they were all powerful and The just a group of people just trying to do the best and there's always some bad eggs in there There's always some bad eggs They're not perfect. And and you know all those people telling me that the Jedi are the light and they are unfalable How about fuck off? George Lucas had already done the prequels They and he told everybody that they're fallible He faking wiped them out because they've got too proud of themselves and It all all explains the brakes in canon because they don't talk to each other because they're trying to hide and lie and cheat and steal And cover for each other Mm-hmm. I I love I loved the dynamics of the Jedi Because they barely barely talking to each other Yeah, and that's like it's it was because that would have been mine as well So I would just chip in quickly because that I love this quote from Jurassic Park three when dr. Grant says that the people who built this park they had the best intentions Look how better now, you know the Jedi I always like, you know, we have the best intentions with the light We had the with the good guys. We always know what's right. Yeah, sure about that body Are you sure? You sure about that? It doesn't seem like in my mind. It's not like come on And it's yeah, and it's it's it is finally like Just like how and I have to bring this in because It's just like how the boys Now pushed it Front and center and say that we were always like this now, Stan was the same thing and said they were always like this You know like a lot of the yoda master yoda did a lot of shit Lying was one of those very shitty things that he did for the best with with the best intentions. Yeah, and this is this is what we are seeing here like but more like We have the best intentions. We are also fucking morons because we do not There's like a small click that talk to each other like you know, so Anestra and like maybe before they were dead like in dara stuff. They were like we basically tell each other everything Everyone else go fuck themselves though. Yeah Yeah, and I love the hypocrisy here because like the the they teach push down your feelings like Level-headed who are the most emotional people here cuz it's not Kimmy Kimmy is the level-headed one here Solv is the emotional one. Yeah, Torbin is the emotional one. Yeah, mm-hmm. Right. That's what causes all this fucking thing in the first place Exactly, but you know who was an emotional is on the Jedi side in dara. She was the real one That's true. Yeah, she's coming for a friend. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah You know snitches end up in ditches, you know, I love the idea though that You know, there's a there's some reflection I think in the real world around me and that a lot of times we are not taught productive and healthy ways to deal with the emotions that we have we might be taught You know 60% of what would be a healthy way to deal with certain emotions But then there's this little 40% this kind of a gray area and I feel like We're seeing that reflected here in the Jedi of yeah, they're being taught to control emotions and you know But in the control there's also some suppression going on as opposed to handling or dealing with the emotion So I can see a little bit of parallels with kind of my real world experiences and and what instead I are going through with that Do you think that? Because OSHA was taught to suppress her emotions It and then but couldn't actually control them made her more powerful than me at the in the end I think it's explosive in the end. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. I have a feeling OSHA was always stronger Because like well, yeah, here's a crackpot theory So they explained that you know, OSHA may were once the same person and you know through force who who did you do you do? Do you split the the way they split the power wasn't even? And I think OSHA got a bigger piece of that Because she had so much was just like she couldn't tap into it Without like a strong like conduit and because I personally was always more like and at the beginning like passive and you know not as You know go get her as may was. Yeah, it was she just couldn't get into it and only by the end when you know Massive trauma was you know relip? You know death of mother death of death of the family And you know find out that her mentor Was the one who did it? That sort of like sort of like unlocked it a bit and and now she's now only gonna get even more powerful and I think that's where That's why not that she was good for us. I like that What if it wasn't that? Necessarily they were born that way or altered that way, but maybe the ascension maybe because may finish the ascension thing and had Whatever it was but OSHA didn't I wonder if that that's something maybe I don't know maybe maybe it's actually like Restricting her power. Yeah. Yeah, yeah like capping it somehow. Oh well and other than the Jedi for me The the other thing I really liked is the teams that they went with like I loved how they did parallel ends with everything It just it was so beautifully done and so smartly done as well. I was very happy with it Like you know power of two. There's always two sits And then you know the the one that we told about already in Master Soul and Queen Mere Wanting the same thing they want to popular the acolyte, you know that they were such beautifully dumb parallels that I was like more please Because up to episode five, you know maze in black clothes and OSHA is put in like the white sort of like in any young What if you know, but then as once they flip that's when may start to lean a bit more towards You know justice, whatever and oh, she's sitting further down and I only just Like that should have been fucking obvious Tom Jesus Christ That was beautifully thought as well. That's definitely in in that list But what I will say about me is that I think That he was he she was louder about her anger from the gaggle But uh, I I think That she was always it's not gonna make many sense, but I'm gonna still say it like I I think She was always about justice But she went about it the wrong way Because she told that killing these people meant justice And I think it was by the end that she realized that she wanted to be more like OSHA as well in a way That maybe the justice in here is not like, you know, offering a person. It's actually bringing them to you know, face The consequences of their actions because that's that's why she couldn't figure out how to kill someone with a weapon Yeah, I think Her unwillingness to kill especially episode four once she knows OSHA is alive Because her priorities shifted all all she really cares about is finding OSHA or avenging OSHA and when she realized hey Ocean not dead. She's like why am I killing these guys again? Yeah, like she in that instance. She's like, okay. Yeah, everyone's dead. Whatever, but OSHA is alive That's all I give a shit about And the other issues you guys have wanted to kill soul was to prove to OSHA. Hey, this guy's a dick Come with me again. He killed mom and yeah, he killed mama Although to be fair if I saw a evil witch turned to a blacksmith cloud, I'd like term evil witch You don't know how Neutral witch who I can assume might be evil or good depending on the circumstance turns into black smoke. Yeah Let's talk about characters now So Tom can get it out of his system. It's all for you Tom. Go ahead. You're your lord. You're I'm not actually going to be funny and I don't ever give a shit about your I just like Your Okay To be fair, I thought he was interesting and a bit funny at the beginning that was like That's why he was funny Like he was surface level like I didn't expect him to live but yeah, I just I do like saying your lord. It's fun to say He told me had a cross on OSHA. We can agree on that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah for sure and and so did Jackie Jackie was cool. I was most said about Jackie dying. I was yeah saying like she got she got fucking triple tapped Like to make sure hey light sabers they do kill but we're gonna make sure this time we get into really We're getting to it. Just just hold on one second. I won't mention him. I won't mention say it's all for you I would have like more time with specifically Jackie and maybe your just like maybe flesh around a bit more Which hey maybe an episode dedicated to their stuff, but whatever For a long time I hated me Because she just seems so Whiny and just like dude. This can't be toothed frozen in a row that I've watched where I had a character called me Like she sort of brings it back around but like in like from episodes four to like six I was like shut up me. How come I never get any lines and these things shut up Meg Well, that's not other stuff relates to the person that really wants to talk to it The two people will talk about the most so I'll I'll leave as that engine Yeah, just go rip the bed it off just do it. I go into it. Yeah, so you talk about That's the person that you want No, I want to talk about two people The best thing So first and foremost in a dream day who played master soul master soul is Fantastic beautiful the most wonderful de lulu man in the whole universe ever. He's very delulu He's very delulu, but we love him. I I forgive him. I I will forgive you master. So He was so beautiful I would have I would have forgiven him but in that in his final moments when he's trying to talk to Mary and OSHA He never apologized. He was always saying I did the right thing I don't I only because I did it for you. I love this because he was delulu He was he was so in delulu. I know he couldn't he couldn't just be like yo my bad I fucked up. I killed your mum Sosbro, and if he did that OSHA wouldn't have killed him. She would have been like just really sad and angry, but wouldn't have been like dead. I Don't agree with that I think he would be dead anyway well, no, you know, you know, no, no, no, he wouldn't be because That's why I that's another like tiny fault of the entire thing Is when they show in episode 7 that soul obviously killed the mama? You can see the regret on his face instantly like he's like oh shit I really thought that of this time and I think that then episode 8 rolls in and then he starts talking about this And he's suddenly like oh no, I did the right thing. I Think he's convinced he's convinced himself over the years that he did the right thing so even if he wanted to apologize in because of the lie they told and What he's been telling himself always because remember when a your other favorite person says I've confronted my darkness have you Souls had to like reflect But then even he didn't fully reflect because he probably went in well Did I do the wrong? No, I did the right thing I was right to do this and lie to people about it. I'm I'm the good guy. I'm the in I'm the infallible Jedi. I Can't be that wrong. I Still love him. I'm sorry Character is a good character and I you know, we we can we can't praise Lee Junge enough because he learned English for this role Yeah in four months just you know really bring it out there again. Yeah He loves he loves Star Wars. His favorite character is quite engine So, you know, appropriate that's a parallel actually Appropriate He was so happy he got the role he learned English in four months and He did it beautifully. He was he was so good in it and and I love the tiny moment When it was like acting without words and it was just written all over his face What what soul was going through he was he was doing it so beautifully. So I couldn't be any happier I am very sad that he's gone because once again, I think that was more Master soul. So that's why I was I even told you Tom and we talked about it that that's why I want to Want him to live because I think there's more to his story and yeah, and he could have made this Hopefully next chapter even more interesting if he's if if he won't be around and I mean he still can be as a force ghost Flashbacks like it was talking about oh she's trial told you in the other temple She can he can still appear. So I'm like I'm I'm living in my own But like that I thought like no matter what he was gonna die at the end because yeah whilst there is more for his backstory and like that We could explore Or ocean amaze character specifically. He was only going one way He was he his death had to happen because the whole prince of the show from the evil guy's perspective was these four need to die And they set it up front these four and I think yeah, no matter what it was gonna happen plus He said that don't worry. Oh sure. I'll tell you everything in episode four. I'm like, okay, so you're guaranteed dead Any character in any serious whatsoever, but so says once this is over. I'll let you I'll tell you everything You're dead anyway, and then And then mother and I say yeah my my my my muscle my muscle guy I am I Established a new church with the permission of throne Obviously don't leave the blue booty But we we we also now have the church of the bison Because that man It's not just that but he knows how to handle himself. I was like Excuse me Many what the fuck happened with you? I love this man I the only reason I I watched the entirety of the good place because I had problems with that show many many problems Was because of many because many was brilliant in it and I wanted to see his character like what's what's gonna happen with him? and many Many is it was the best in that show I won't take any arguments on that And and then I've been following him since then I never in a million years would have imagined him in a role like this I was I don't find that like when and when the room will happen which we all guessed that The stranger is gonna be clear. I was like I think he he understood the assignment completely well And he he broke in what what it means to have the temptation of the dark side Because that's creamier. That's creamier. I believe from from this point onward I believe that everyone would turn to the said so a force ghost of creamier, and that's that's how they tried to turn I believe it. I They were literally seduced Exactly so Any I have I have to I have to get it out of my system. I'm sorry Do you go in or OSHA is is a role model Because the second that man would have stripped naked in front of me I would have I would have run into that lake like I'm coming. I'm already on the dark side What the fuck are you talking about? Don't go anyway, stop So what you're saying is you were jealous of OSHA fuck yeah I was so jealous. I was like girl How are you how are you restraining yourself like what the fuck are you doing? But he she did check I would have done the same as well She checked out his lightsaber. Yeah It must have been beautiful Anyway No, we're not gonna spiral down there. We're not spiraling. No, no, no, be it me. Sorry. Aside from Horny girl big here's a I'm gonna say a term which you're gonna miss construe his equipment was amazing Yeah, it's helmet it was amazing, right? And that this this this motherfucker that that was the line that broke me I was like that I was already lost kind of but that that line broke me I think I even sent it to all of you or all just some of you. I don't know When he comes out and he's like so can I put back? So if you're not gonna join me, can I put my clothes back on and I was like You're not gonna join me. Yeah Boy boy What the fuck is he is he is the said of the dark side and I think that without many just until this This wouldn't have it. Well, I'm just gonna put it out there in theator that Queen Mayor in as a character Without the actor it's not Yeah, he's not much at the moment. We don't know any of his backstory They're all like hints like who is he and where did he come from and whatever and what happened to him? But we didn't really find out anything about him that that's like the juice once again And I think if it wouldn't have been for many This character wouldn't work. He did a beautiful job With the yeah delivery and and and just and just everything he put his soul into it Like even the way he was moving during the the fight scenes and everything is it you you could see that he was there Like he became grimer And and he did it perfectly and I don't I honestly don't think that This would work without him in the wall My favorite moment from Come here was when they he may first found out who he was Yeah, after like you broke and he just like he just switched back to like hello I and then like it just that switch cuz like before then he was just like you need to we need to find the Jedi and like a bit more like a centric and then as soon as he revealed I Didn't even know yeah, are you stupid bitch like you're powerful like And let me tell you that is incredibly hard to do Even if you're like a word class actor because I am currently doing the play where I I have two roles And you know they are not like this they're not the same role They are two different roles, but I have to switch between them So fucking hard It's it is so fucking hard. It's like you know because you start off with one of the rules And it's in your head and you're like, okay now I have to do it like this And then as you know time goes by it gets easier, but then you have to switch in the middle And then switch back at the end and I'm like I Get confused still and we've been doing it for two years at this point and I still get confused like you know Okay, I have to switch back now work brain work. So that tiny moment and it's So brilliantly dumb. I cannot praise many enough because he's he's absolutely excellent And I'm so happy that thanks to this role people are finally, you know recognizing him and and hopefully he's it's gonna mean that he's gonna get more like bigger rules and He deserves it. It really does not just because he's fucking so fucking good Had to put that out there in the universe I Think this is the first original Disney+ character, which is as marketable as Kim areas. Oh Yeah Yeah, you can sell a bunch of merchandise with Kim here You can sell a bunch of his helmets You can sell a bunch of his action figures because he's got a long long and short, but like you say, but how freaking cool was that? His equipment charm Yeah That wasn't me this time let me let me look it up is that no There's a lot of great characters in the new Disney+ shows But this I think Kim here is the most marketable one the most You will see the most people cosplaying as Kim here in Cons out of the new Disney+ shows For me like he has the pleasure like to be like the Darth Vader esque like character of just like hey He wants his lightsaber cool We have a buildable two-in-one version that you can build and change your way as yours at that helmets They I think you sense of image like they already sold out and they put it up like ten seconds Yeah, I would I would agree with that. I will just quickly put it in here as well that his attire is Perfection I don't think I always have a problem with costumes in Star Wars because I don't think they go as well As they should be especially since it's a sci-fi and they could do more like we didn't have like a really good costume moment since Amidala basically because I'm like I'm the queen And I've been waiting I've been waiting for a very good costume for the sits as well Yeah, they are very like lost her and then this fucker comes on he takes up that fucking cape biceps and That attire is so flattering as well on him like they pick the perfect and it's like it's I Think it has a little bit of Japanese inspiration behind it as well. Yeah, I want that I want that costume so I Want that on your floor Yeah, you went on the floor and him and thrown in your bed Yes, and you want to be in the middle of it Of course you want their equipment Sorry anyway One is just the category of the witches themselves like as as characters I love Dathomir lore and Knight sister lore just from the universe in general and being able to see this particular Coven as a not a purest Interpretation of that but as some new interpretation of that And you know try creating this mystery now around Being able to create some create life from the force itself you know that just so much mystery around that and They were a family, you know a clan They were very connected to each other and you could just feel the love of a family Within them regardless of how you feel about their ethics or morals or what they were doing They were a close-knit group. I mean able to see them as a family As an all-female family as well It just meant a lot to me Especially from the perspective of LGBT the other more controversial is I actually liked Vernestra from actor delivery of being so kind of straight laced You couldn't tell what she's thinking. That's a position of power and influence and having to be very careful with how you Direct people and how you say things to convey the right method around right people the right decisions such as I I really liked that character and seeing kind of that Edition of Jedi leadership see like a staff is is putting it so well And you are Tom being horny over yours Got to whip come here so in true Oh Just reminded me a character they didn't have my screen time enough so a what was the senator? Yes? Absolutely. Yes, that's what I wanted Is it it's Dave is David I would have it yeah, cuz I remember seeing him back in Supergirl and like kills on shadow fall Yeah, I'm like dude. You're in fucking Star Wars. I fucking love you like yeah You do such a good job as sort of like just like the Authority figure who's just like mm-hmm. I loved it. I'm like all but that that made me want season two more than anything else I'm like I want more of you like yeah, I like you you cool Yeah, and I loved I loved this character even if he got like little screen time at this point Yeah, because he fucking called them out and I love that because he's right He was right up everything. He said and I was like fuck yeah, I just Loved how she's like he saw the writing on the wall. Yeah, like how she's like do you have something against the Jedi? It's like truthfully. Yes, like you are a power of Hosanna's religion and you know we can't stop you if you decide to just say fuck it Yeah, so like we need this thing and only two scenes. He killed them both Give him more stuff as well. Yeah, put him in everything. Oh, yeah, put him in put him manny Just into and Lee John Jay in just together. They just yeah, they're like packaged. Yeah. Yeah. Oh my god Yes, I want there you go. Why did you put it in my head? Why? Because I can Ian who is your favorite? It's all been sad. It's all been sad. You've taken Kimmy. You've taken. Yeah, it's all you've taken David Howard I will quickly just put it out there in the universe because the turf person I was excited about was a mob December and shoot brilliant. Yeah, the best the best choice for us and me She did such a fantastic job with the characters So yeah big big round of clothes. I liked him more as OSHA than me. Same. I think yeah, she fit like she did okay as me Yeah, as OSHA. I think she just had more to work with Yeah, yeah, and OSHA was the one that was supposed to be the most dynamic. I guess from again Yeah, yeah Yeah, so what I'm thinking the season two you leave May in a little bottom ice corner Lever there to get about it same and then like when they eventually have to merge to become one person again That's when you bring me back. Yeah, I agree. I agree. And let's let's uh, we then let's jump into Well, we are hoping that we're getting a season two. So let's uh drop into the final topic of Predictions for season two because here's hoping and uh, this is our wish list for what we want to see flashbacks Flashbacks. I want some I want to see more of the stories of these Jedi that we've lost Uh, you know Not necessarily all of them, but if one or two could pop in at some point in season two and help fill out some of the the mindset of where all the Jedi are at this point and definitely more of the senators calling out the Jedi and And the situation the Jedi are being put in right now. I I want to see The senate calling the Jedi on accountability and forcing them to kind of transform I don't know how the flashbacks of the Jedi would fit But at the same time, yeah It's especially for You can dream. You can dream. It's okay. It's okay. Uh, Ian Don't hold Ian what what do you want to see in season two? Forgive me for stealing your line But I want to see more kit. Come here. I want to see come up more come here that relationship come here and OSHA And mysterious alien guy that it is possibly whoever. Yeah I want to see more of that dynamic and the dynamic with the mysterious guy in the background who shall be not named Specifically, I want to know more about Kimmy has passed as well with Renestra I think that's like a dead sir if we get a second series, right? Instead of talking about what I want to see. I've got two theories That might be a bit crackpot One like I said before I think OSHA and may are going to become the one person again I think Because they take the black black smoke or some fourth shenanigans Um, I feel like because that would be unlock OSHA's true potential And then like I think that will happen and that that we may roll to play because they'll figure something out and be like, oh, we need made to do this I also think this is all bin Plagueis's idea Because if you think about like the tried Darth Plagueis the wife who's always trying to create life or live forever I think he was responsible for giving the cup and the idea of hey force life And this is like his little experiment And so that's why he was he wasn't on the island with Kimmy just to chill He was sort of following the trail of where OSHA and may were going so he'd be like, hmm. Okay, so age 16 They do this this this this any ramifications of no I think this all his big sort of master plan to try and create life and prolong life Which will then you know lead to you know the force bin like hand and then like no birthing I can't do the force whatever I think yeah or everything is just Plagueis Paul in the strings And I think if we get a season two I think they'll become more evident and I Think he'd end up killing Kimmy on OSHA those two will become like we start to get like super powerful becoming the new rule of two Because they just falling down the dark side of our stuff. So that's when Plagueis be like, hmm I don't want that because I haven't learned all of what I need to know yet Even though Plagueis in legends wants to get rid of the rule of two He can't get rid of it until he's living forever So I think like his whole master plant like the acolyte is really just the story of how Plagueis And palpatine ended up becoming you know besties I don't think if I agree with the power that he was the one who gave the idea to the coffin I think he Will actually take the idea from the coffin and And that's you know That's how he basically learns about the possibility of of of this Creating life from the force and Everything else I agree with it like he's gonna have a much bigger role and that couldn't have been more selling than master Yoda appearing at the end The real ones know one of master yoda's biggest forget It's playing us That's one of my wishes for season two. I hope that That was injustices and they're gonna like really dive into that Yoda and Plagueis storyline Because I I want to see it. I want to see it so badly because that's when These families are gonna find out that master yoda is actually not that great, you know I mean, he's still great, but like he has his flaws If you watch the Clone Wars, you already know this one boss here I'll just want to jump because it's like that play is because what that did keep seeing people saying Oh, he's only 15 years old here blah blah blah. It's like dude No, that's dumb. That's legends No, even if it was legends like he'd be minimum 30 So even then that makes sort of sense and it's that's yeah It's been a little tired. It's been annoying watching that like I know we've been joking about the entire time of like Excuse me little but it's like dude like you either hate watching it because I don't know you fucking hate yourself or to you're so Angry about a fictional TV show. Like none of this. None of this matters in the grand scheme of things It's it's exactly entertainment So if you get so bad on shape and want to start fights and be bullies essentially like fucking touch grass Exactly what I used that like like this at the end of the day This doesn't matter. It's just a TV show and I'm I'm not joking here Like if I can find it again, I'm gonna send it to you so you can you can put it in so people can see it there were there were people on tic-tong And I'm not joking That uh, it was like you can use photos on tic-tac as well And it was literally like this is it This is the end of Star Wars This is the end of everything I believed in How could they move in like this and and then they put like the the saddest Music under it like like something from interstellar or or whatever That would poke your song choices for this and there were so many boins Who were putting on messages like this like this is it. They ruined Anakin's character How could they do this in Star Wars? And I'm like It is You complete like if you will get the argument with Anakin's It's it's it's invalid that that shows that they do not know anything about Star Wars And and the other thing that it shows that they They were hate watching so much that they didn't even pay attention At all because if they would pay attention Yeah, things would be different and then the and the other thing is I'm gonna say this. I am a big fan of this enemies to lovers thing Wouldn't tell You've hidden this with you I love it Like you haven't made that clear this entire what now in a bit that we've done. No, it's not once Have I ever thought that? I'm hiding it so well You're a master at it. Thank you. That's why I'm a protector. Wow. Um, so I I I really Okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna say this. I'm gonna put this out there. I want to see a very good Star Wars sexy I'm gonna check along. And I I think these two Will be perfect for it Because that's the final temptation of the dark side. That's one Just quick. Yes. Do you want us just a sex scene for, you know, thematical purposes or do you just want to see Kimmy's dick like And abs and shirtless body again like put it put it together That's my answer. No, but I know I'm not joking like I am getting getting a tiny bit tired of how western media especially is now shying away from romantic story lines and And storylines involving like intimacy and more not because we have this idea that Um, now we have to Praise that love can be between friends and whatever. Of course it can be between friends. Of course it can be between best friends. Whatever It can be not like completely Perge romance out of everything because I'm not gonna lie. It's it's getting a bit flat my dudes It's it's I sometimes I'm not big on romance But even I am sometimes like can we get a little just tiny bit at least like, you know, and I I think they They know exactly what they are doing with these two characters and a model and many work So well together. They have such good chemistry I want to see Kimmy's ass as well. I'm not gonna say I don't. Yes, beautiful. I'm sure Yes, not not as beautiful as the blue booty mind you Because the blue booty is perfect What beautiful nonetheless, that's the two main things that I've on and then I will be happy I'm already happy because I really enjoy this show So that means that we're gonna pivot and we're gonna give this entire season everything That's great this season and we're gonna start the line with Ian How would you rate this season out of pen? Well, that's a very good question. Lily. Thank you for asking me Thank you for coming to me first because I really appreciate this opportunity to talk to you tonight I would rate the season and eight because it's it's really solid like the song Slow bits. There's some really fast bits. There's really good good combat. There's really good uh backstories and the high republic There's a really marketable character in kimmya that is just so lovely I I really enjoyed the series. I want to see a season two I'll be really disappointed if there wasn't one after all of the The cliffhangers at the end Solidate solidate you can write there with you on about an eight if they had more time to tell the story and could have Filled in a little bit more details somewhere early I would have gone higher than an eight on this one for sure but it was still it was a little jarring to me through the first three episodes trying to wrap my head around what was happening um in in a few spots and that was the Not enough for me to go below an eight, but yeah, definitely Eight eight out of ten. It would have been a nine if that those first three episodes It felt a little bit smoother for me before the final episode. I was leaning towards a seven because Whilst I was pretty because I was indifferent for a lot of it and like it was starting to pick up and I'm sort of like yeah This is cool but that final episode knocks up to eight because like It was my it's been my favorite final episode of a Disney plus series only behind and or I feel like they stuck the landing They were able to you know Very close of all the major plot points that you had to that they were like the main ones with leading room for For second season, which again, I do hope they get but We'll see how that goes Um, but yeah, I follow enough. I'd sit on an eight as well. I will say that If we did it with a soaker and said that you know if Andor is the best show which is an easy 10 out of 10. Let's be honest next to Andor It's it's still it's yeah. It's still not there We are getting very close by the way like we're getting very close And and it's definitely my top three already. So yeah, I will say that Eight seems very very fair. So I will I will roll with that I don't have any major issues with it Um, it has its flaws but doesn't Um, but what is the the biggest thing that just you know, solidifies it as the top three Star Wars tv show is Is the actors I I've got to say like everyone was so freaking good in their respective roles Uh that I could I could just talk about them All day all night. I don't care because they've really really sold even the characters that were like a bit more Thinly written Um, so I was I was very happy with the casting Of this show and and I really enjoyed the story as well. So I I want to see that bigger picture To to unfold and give us a look see Into something that we haven't seen before. I think that's what star wars should be always about so eight Brace we all have the same score. Okay. It does. Oh, I think it's it's the first time that happened I haven't you know why it happened it happened because of the power of your lord Your lord your lord your lord. Oh double your lord I mean, I mean also we we forgot one thing and I I promise myself that we're going to talk about this Uh, so I will quickly put it in here. We have the first like proper song for yes In the closing credits The first and they didn't cut the credits off because they've let that song play to the end I love that that and it's a beautiful song It's it it fits so well. I was surprised at first. I was like, oh Someone singing that's something that usually does what happened here. I I would like to see more of uh, crouching tiger hidden Fuck yeah, this is us Talking about the acolytes or we didn't cry about things. I know we should have and uh now a bunch of Very angry dudes are going to be very angry with us that we didn't so sorry I'm sorry. You think you deserve an apology Anyway, uh, we really enjoyed it Um, we might be weird those. I don't know at this point who cares Uh, but you know watch it make your own decision Don't listen to us either because right why would you just just go ahead and watch it and enjoy it? That's it consider us the entertainment afterward. Yes. We are so fun. What's next up in star wars? Skeleton crew. Yeah, that's true. That's right. Yeah, that's true. We will talk about that as well with with root law. I think So that's gonna be exciting and And if you wanna see that if you want to see after lots on skeleton crew Other tv shows and anything in general and watch us be complete in other decades.
