[BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [BLANK_AUDIO] [MUSIC] [MUSIC] >> Yo, yo, what up, with it, man? It's your boy, martial arts media, we back at it, like a crack at it, man. It's the day I have a wonderful pleasure to be with the Queen of the Trapper. Lady on the field and what's up with it? [MUSIC] I've been listening to it all weekend, long for real, can't lie. Yeah, yeah, so let's get into it. First off, let's talk about it, the coalition DJ anniversary, man. Yeah, how was that? >> I was dope. >> Yeah, we had the listening party first, that way I got to get my music out there. I let everybody have a chance to hear the mix tape, so that was fun. The next performance, that was dope too. I think a lot of familiar faces, I got the chance to meet. A couple faces I was unaware of, so I had a real nice time, it was a good weekend. >> No, that's amazing. And you also got to perform as well, right? >> Yeah, yep. >> Dope, I didn't get the chance to, I missed your performance for. >> Okay. >> Circumstance is insane, man, yeah. All I must say is, yo, if you ride in dirty, get your plates right, god damn, get your plates. But no, what did you end up performing though? What song was it that you performed? >> I performed okay, and I performed Queen of the Trap. >> Okay, you know what, I fucked with that tracker, Queen of the Trap, forever. >> Everybody love Queen of the Trap. >> Man, that's like a club banger, it just gets me moving type shit, so yeah. So what was the inspiration behind the record, you know what I mean? >> Inspiration was basically me. It's self-titled from the EP, and I basically just wanted to talk my shit. No, my trap talk, and just give y'all a little insight of, no, Lady O. >> Yeah, okay, so yeah, that's dope, man. So what is the old lady O stand for? >> Is it? >> Well, I'm from O Fallon play, so that's basically what it originated from. But it could mean a lot of things, original, official. I got so many tattoos on me, but. >> I feel you. >> But yeah, it's definitely for my neighborhood, Lady O. >> Okay, I love that. You putting your whole city on your back type deal or whatever. So, and let's get into that as well. So how is it growing up in St. Louis, especially as a female, people say it's dangerous, people say all of these negative stereotypes or what have you, and for good reason. But for you, what is your take on it? >> On growing up. >> And growing up, living life and how is it fun? >> Growing up in St. Louis was epic for me. And when I say epic, I mean good, bad, ugly, beautiful, everything. My experience so a lot as a kid, as a teenager. But one thing about it, I did have a good childhood. I did a lot of things. A lot of kids wouldn't even be familiar with. That grew up with me. It was fun, a lot of memories, an old Fallon place for real, for sure. But yeah, I mean, as of now, today, everything not the same. I mean, I think there's everything though, but everything ain't the same as of now. But I mean, life what you make is so you're in a way, you're in a way. You're not on prosper. >> Yeah, yeah. >> Sample. >> I feel that. So a lot of your, would you say a lot of your influence from your music has came from your childhood, or like your adult life? >> Childhood, adult, teenage for sure. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Yeah, I definitely get that vibe, because it's like you're taking us back to that early 2000 era or whatever, you know what I'm saying? And that nostalgia. Like, why? Like, that was such a pivotal moment to you. Like, why do you feel like you needed that? >> Because it was the best years. >> Yeah. >> Sorry, my boy's gone a little bitch out of the way. >> She be a party at Casa Migos. >> Yeah. But now, um, it was the best years though. 2000 up until what, 2010 I say, then was some of the best years for me. I did a lot of, made a lot of money, and I experienced a lot of good. I got them a lot of trouble. It was just dope. >> Yeah. >> The whole time frame. It was dope. >> Okay, that's, that's definitely dope, man. I love to see that. So, with that being said, um, what's single right now that you're pushing, like, hard, like, that's what we're going, is it okay, or that's what we're going with, like. >> Um, as of now, we're going, well, as of now, we're pushing okay. We got, I'll be on it featuring Murphy Lee, that we're pushing. Um, we got what it do still doing numbers. We even got tickets still doing numbers. So, um, we got, we got what the fuck is on. >> That's what's up. So, it's the versatility. That's dope though. You know what I mean? So, um, and it's like, you're so versatile with, like, you know, I'd be on it. It's such a different record than, like, putting the trap in it. It's such a different ticket. And, you know what I'm saying? Like, it's so versatile. You're giving us so much and so much flavor, man. Like, for real, um, how do you come up with that? Or, and like, how do you overcome, like, writer's block if you do have such things? >> Um, so, if, well, the way I operate, I just, like, when I think of something, I just automatically write it down, put it in my notes or, you know, something like that. Um, when it comes to writer's block, it might just mean, well, it might just mean that you need to take time to yourself. You might need a piece of mine so that you could build it back up. Um, but that's what, that's the way that I handle it. I mean, I just might go sit outside of some more, you know, something, whatever, bring me peace. That's what's gonna get my creative juices flowing. >> Okay, okay. I feel that. Um, but we're gonna take a quick break real quick. That cool. And we're gonna, uh, get into, uh, I'll be on that. >> Yeah. >> Okay. We're gonna watch the video as well. Check the video, uh, the visual. >> Okay. >> So, uh, I'm gonna pull it up right here on good old YouTube. And I'm gonna let you, uh, let us, let you bring it in for us if you don't mind. >> Okay. Yeah, yeah. This your girl, Lady. Oh, yeah. About to check out my new single. I'll be on it featuring St. Louis on March 30. >> Let's get it.
