James is professor of geographical information and cartography at the Department of Geography at University College London. He also engages in funded research using new types of data that looks into the future of the high street and consumer behaviours. James is also responsible for the Social Data Institute, while weaving in a bit of writing and co-authoring of maps and graphics.
