Coffee & Geography S02E01 Lauren Sinclair & Surya Panyam (USA)

Coffee & Geography returns for a second season, kicking off with Kit chatting to Lauren Sinclair and Surya Panyam over a masala chai and Coava coffee, chatting about mapathons, the student-teacher relationship, butchering chickens, amongst other things!


Lauren Sinclair is a Where's Waldo and Carmen SanDiego aficionado who teaches GIS (digital mapping) to middle schoolers in Portland, Oregon in the U.S. She also teaches environmental science using GIS and helps other teachers at her school bring GeoInquiries into their classrooms. In her spare time, she works with Esri as a teacher-consultant.


Surya Panyam is sophomore at Jesuit High School in Portland, Oregon. He started Mapathon club at his high school, which is a club aimed to help map areas experiencing natural disasters. In his free time, He loves to play tennis, chess, and the drums.
