Well, last time we looked at first John, we looked at or attempted to look at verses or chapter one versus five through 10, but we spent a lot of time on just verse five. And so this morning, we're actually gonna be looking again at those verses, but we're specifically gonna be looking at verses six through 10. But so to give us and to remind us of the context of that section, I am gonna read verse five as well. So let's go to first John chapter one, first John chapter one towards the end of the Bible, first John chapter one, and I'll read verses five through 10. First John chapter one verses five through 10. Here's God's word. This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you that God is light and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus, his son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar and his word is not in us. And so we'll be looking at these verses from two angles, the fruit of darkness and the fruit of light, the fruit of darkness and the fruit of light. So first, let's look at the fruit of darkness. This is something you actually see in the entire letter that John speaks about and he speaks about it from two different angles, an angle that we'll see when we get there in chapter two is actually in relationship to doctrine or teaching, specifically false teaching. So chapter two, verse 22 reads as follows. Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ?
