- Well, good morning, church. It's good to see you all here amidst the California downpour. And I just wanna say in that that he has risen. Oh, there we go. Isn't that something that we may always rejoice in? And if you're new here with us today, I'm so excited that you're here, and I say that from a state of genuine understanding is I'm new here myself, and I hope you're excited to have me. Well, a little bit about myself. My name is Hayden Carlson. I work at Sal Shores Church down the road in the kids ministry where I'd love to claim the title of "Gather of the Children of God." And you can kind of see us on the right side there. And gathering with them is something where we get to share in joy together, we get to share in their imagination. And mainly we get to share the word of God to the future generation of kingdom builders. And then in the middle, walking alongside me in this journey is my wife who has brought our two kids. She's somewhere here, probably running around, running a Mac about this campus. And then of course our two kids, they've been part of our journey. And while they can't always go walking our journey with us, they often find us just hanging on as we go through the woods. And I'm excited as well that you're all gathered back here with your church family this post Easter Sunday. I can imagine how busy the Easter season is for all of us, ministry work aside. And I could definitely attest to that uniquely with my own life. My wife and I, as I said, we have our two little kids and we're also expecting a third on the way in June. So this has been a busy season to say the least. And the fun part is that now that our daughter is about two and a half, she's in her toddler dumb. She, her recognition and curiosity of the things around her have just increased dramatically. Not to mention, she's just so much more capable now in her abilities. We recently got her a little three-wheel scooter and within days she was zipping up and down our condo aisle just like a natural pro. And our son, he's already all boy, trying to follow in suit with his sister and just wanting to climb anything he can find and play with any type of ball that happens
