- Good morning. Welcome, we're glad you're here. I'm Tom and Lead Pastor here at Coast and thank you worship team, that was incredible. We're continuing our series, our Christmas series, "Weary World Rejoices" today. It's kind of, it's based on that line from "O Holy Night," you know, a thrill of hope. The weary world rejoices. The idea that the coming of God in Christ gives us as a weary world, as a broken and struggling world, cause for praise. And this week we're talking about waiting. Waiting is never fun. And especially this time of year for kids. I remember when I was, you know, younger, when I was young, and before I could sort of get the stuff I wanted, when I wanted it, and I had to wait for Santa or my parents, I remember this season just being brutal. Like once Thanksgiving was over, it was like every day, the whole point of the day was to distract myself from the fact that it was not yet Christmas. And that was, I mean, it's challenging. My own children, I don't see it as much in them. I think they take after their mother with the patience gene a little more. But I know what it's like. I know what it's like to be the person who is like, I know the end is near and I just got to get there. The problem for us a lot of the time is that our spiritual life, our spiritual walk, our journey of faith doesn't often have a clear end date. There's no, for us a lot of times, there's no December 25th. Oh, that's when I get my presence. That's when I get all the things that I'm waiting for. That's when life is gonna be good again. Instead, for those of us who are living by faith, a lot of times the vision that we have, the things that we think God, we pray that God has set on our hearts to bring to us. Those things, we don't know when that's gonna happen. And so our waiting is different. It's a different kind of waiting than most waits because we don't know. Sometimes the Lord terries, as they say. Sometimes the Lord comes before we can even notice that we're waiting, but sometimes it takes a while. There's a couple of things. Why is that the case?
