- Well, it is awesome to have you here. I'm Tom and Lee Pastor at Coastal Church, and thank you. What's your team for an incredible, just awesome expression of our love for God, and that was really cool. If you're new or visiting, you're joining us in the middle of a new series called The Lifeboat. And The Lifeboat is, we've been kind of taking a look at what church is, what our lives are like, the way they actually are, not the way we think they are. And we've been comparing that. We've been using analogy of a cruise ship and a lifeboat. And so the way it works is sort of like this. Before church, before religion, before even thinking about God's stuff, or maybe you grew up in church, and it was just kind of always there as part of the background. But as just a way of doing life, we sort of weren't super reflective, right? We were just kind of going along, we were doing our thing. And that's sort of, we've been using analogy of being on a cruise ship. Sort of like just being on this way of doing things. And you're not in charge, you're not running the show, you're just kind of, maybe you're one of the people who lives at the bottom of the cruise ship, maybe you're one of the people who doesn't have, you know, a whole lot, if you've seen the movie Titanic, do we have that, oh, where is it? Yeah, if you've seen the movie Titanic, there's this bit, yeah, right. There's this bit where there's these guys down below, they're like shoveling coal, like they have a kind of a miserable, sad life, it's hard, it's difficult, but they seem to have a lot of joy. Then there's the people in the upper class, maybe that's your experience, you come from a place where, you know, life born on third base, just a lot of material blessing, stuff like that, things were going great.
