(dramatic music) - Joe Rogan pulling pass, check it out. - The Joe Rogan, experience. - Train my day, Joe Rogan podcast, my night. All day. (upbeat music) - All right, good to see ya. - Good to be here. - I like your shirt. - I appreciate it. - Professor Finesser, is that your Professor Finesser line? - This is one of my designs of my Professor Finesser line. Got the cross guard there. - I like it. - That's dope. - We got a couple different symbols. Something that I'm building up, I wanna get out to the people. - It's a cool nickname. - It's unique, for sure. It came about a funny way, but I like it. It's the mantra that it brings to the fight game and to who I am is perfect. - Well, it's Finess, and you fight with a lot of Finess. You know, so we should start from your UFC debut because that was when you really burst onto the scene. You fought this guy, Malcolm Wellmaker, who's a killer. Vicious Knockout Puncher, and had a ton of hype behind him because of his performance. Was it the contender series we had the big performance? - I was all three of them. - Yeah. - Contender series, you knocked that dude out flat, and then I don't remember who it was second, but then it was Chris Matino was the third one that he knocked out like that. - And you put on a show, man, and nobody had heard of you. And that's one of the craziest things about this sport, is that there can be a guy like you that's learning and growing in the shadows. And then they get the call and on, I think it was two days notice. - Yeah. - So two days notice, you fought above your weight 'cause you're a phantom weight normally, and you fought it featherweight. And dude, it wasn't just that you fought a guy who was this vicious striker. It was the calmness and the technique and the smoothness of it all that was so impressive.
