- Well, it's a rainy Sunday, but happy Sunday everybody. It's so good to gather together and worship the Lord today. For those of you that don't know me, my name is Caden Harmillo. I am the new youth pastor and young adult director here at Coase Bible Church. And it's been such a blessing to, gosh, since stepping into the role early in the summer to continuously work with your students. And as the year is ramping up, we're starting in early September and just going through, planning our messages for the coming semester. I'm very excited for all that the Lord has in store for us. And also for the young adults in the congregation, in case you didn't know, we have a young adults group meeting that meets every Monday nights at six o'clock in the barn. So we'll be there tomorrow night. So you're welcome to join us. I'm very blessed in the past couple of years that since my wife and I have moved back here that I've been able to continuously grow closer to this family, this body of Christ that's going on here at coast. And some of you know, some of you don't. I wasn't raised really going to church all that often. We were more CEO Christians, Christmas Easter only. But I did have a family that knew and feared God. And so they raised me to love Jesus. They would read me Bible stories and take me to vacation Bible school. I even served at VBS long after I wasn't able to attend anymore as a student. And I don't know if we have pictures up here of me growing up. There are some of them. That picture on the left there is actually I used to do Christian musicals when I was in elementary school. So I'm very proud of that photo actually. That's a good pose there. But my heart was with the church from a very young age. Even if we didn't go every Sunday, I did try and go to youth group in middle school, tried it out for maybe four or five times a couple of events. But I didn't really connect. I didn't really feel heard, seen, valued. And so I never went back. And that would be a theme throughout my childhood.
