We're continuing our series of bad religion today. This is second week. Bad religion is one of my favorite punk bands from Southern California, Greg Graphan. My man Kevin gets it. Yeah, Greg Graphan, super atheist, though, and tell the band bad religion because he hated religion. And the reason being is it's his view, or it was his view. He's less intense now. But it was his view that religion is basically a way to control people and a way to keep them from being liberated to live their best life. And in some ways, he's right. But I think that Jesus actually says he's really, really, really, really wrong. Today, we're talking about rules and regulations and traditions. For those of you who are big, like, holiday people, it was actually a really difficult transition for Aaron and I when we got married because Aaron's family is very much like it's on the day. So if it's your birthday, then you celebrate on the day. And if it's Christmas, you celebrate on the day. I didn't grow up that way. A lot of times during-- on December 25, we were in the car driving up to my grandparents' ranch to celebrate Christmas because there's no traffic on the 25th of December. And so it takes a 13-hour drive. It turns into a 10-hour drive. And that's a big win. And so it was very odd to me when we got married. And it was like, well, it's Christmas. I was like, huh? It's just another day, like 25th of December 24, 23rd. Who cares? And that-- well, I mean, I don't care. It doesn't bother me. But it's a big deal to Aaron. Just yesterday, Alice was like, you know, Dad, I haven't had a really big birthday party for two years. And I was like, oh, well, let me tell you something, Alice. I didn't have any birthday parties growing up. I had two. My entire growing up-- and it's not entirely-- it's not my mom's fault. Don't blame her. My birthday is 420. Hitler's birthday is Columbine, massacre, international pot smoking day.
