Let's talk about why you're feeling overwhelmed in your business and exactly what you can do to move yourself forwards. I work with so many business owners, different industries, different stages of growth, but the same thing is constantly happening for all of us, which is that we get ourselves in a state of just feeling overwhelmed. When we're feeling that sense of I'm not doing enough, I don't know what I'm meant to be doing, I'm panicking, there's too much on my play, I'm feeling stressed, I feel like I'm behind. And one of the worst things that we can do in that state is to feed our feelings and to stay there. Don't get me wrong, we humans before business owners overwhelm, I genuinely believe is a natural part of the business cycle. However, there comes a point where we've been feeling overwhelmed for maybe a little bit too long, and it's not passing naturally, and we need to think about what we can do, what we can take control of as business owners to help ourselves get out of that state. Because ultimately, when we're in a state of overwhelm, the biggest thing that we are not going to be doing is taking intentional action. When we are in that state of overwhelm, it's almost like we're kind of in that fight or flight zone. We're not present, we're not calm, we're not intentional, we're likely not going to be showing up in our businesses the way that we want to be, we're probably in a very reactive mode. And so it is going to affect our growth if we stay in that state for too long. What I'm going to walk you through in this episode is five things that are likely causing your overwhelm, and what it looks like to get rid of those challenges. This is something that I'm particularly thinking about at the moment as we enter the middle of 2026, the midway point is approaching, and with that can naturally come a lot of overwhelm for people. We start to feel like time is moving too fast, we haven't done enough, we worry that the vision and goals that we had for 2026 aren't happening yet. And this is the perfect opportunity to step back and give yourself a realignment. Next week, I'm hosting a free workshop. Over 200 business owners are already signed up and I'm going to be walking you through my proven method to removing the overwhelm and setting yourself up for the rest of 2026 with intention. It's going to give you a taster of my core program on it, which is loved and used by over 175 incredible business owners, and you will walk away from that workshop, not only know more about on it and how it works and being able to join if it feels like a fit, but also having clearer vision, knowing what it is that you want from the next six months of the year and understanding what is getting in your way of that growth and how to move forwards. It's going to be so packed with value as all of my free workshops are. The link to sign up will be in the show notes or you can just go to alispernum.co.uk and you'll find it there. You can register for free and join us at that workshop next week called the mid-year reset. Assuming that you've already signed up to that or you're going to make sure that you do it after this episode, let's dive in for the five reasons that you're probably feeling overwhelmed and what to do about them. Starting off with number one, which is very timely considering we are at this midway point of the year, which is that you might be feeling overwhelmed because you haven't checked in on your vision for six months. It is so typical to enter the year to have that January feeling or even if you don't have the January feeling to see everyone else around you setting goals and doing this big on the business work and kind of feeling like you need to do it as well and having this moment in January where maybe you step back, you write a list, maybe a vision board, maybe think about all the things that you want, whether you do it in a strategic and intentional way or not, I'm going to bet back in January at some point you were thinking about your vision. Vision just being a fancy word for like, what do you want? What's important to you? Where are you going? And it's been six months since January and my bet is that in those last six months that vision will have shifted, it will have refined, it will have changed slightly, but if you haven't given yourself an opportunity to check back in with that to realign yourself with that, you will be feeling overwhelmed. If your business is the vehicle and the vision is the destination, no wonder you're feeling a bit overwhelmed sat in the driver's seat if you don't know where you're actually wanting to go. I know it sounds so simple but so often what creates growth is the simplest habits. Knowing where we're going creates a sense of intention, it narrows our focus, it helps us to know what isn't relevant, it helps to focus what we're wanting to be doing and therefore
