- Welcome to Clinical Pearls. I am Tracy White. I'm here with my co-host, Vijay Hamakuli. Vijay, it's great to see you. - Good to see you too. - So I was wondering if you've ever been out in the community and had to perform CPR? - Fortunately not. - So that did happen to me one time at the airport. - At the airport? - Yes. And I was, I was a nurse at that time, but a very young nurse, so starting out and at the airport, someone fell on the floor and everyone looked at each other and I was it and the only person that initially went. So I was doing CPR and luckily I had the training and a doctor came up and asked me if I wanted help and of course I said yes, so we did CPR together until the ambulance came. And the person, you know, we got him to the hospital. I'm not sure what happened after that 'cause I had to go get on my flight after that, but it was quite a harrowing experience. So I'm excited to talk today with our guest about a stop the bleed campaign, which is another thing that people in the community, healthcare workers and non-health care workers can use these techniques to hopefully save life that should ever happen to them. - Yeah, so I'm actually very excited to hear about stop the bleed campaign. I think it's something that is very much needed in addition to CPR. So we hope our audience can join us and hopefully learn something new about stop the bleed. - And remember everyone, please like, share, leave a review on iTunes, Spotify, or wherever you listen to your podcasts.
