Today we have the coolest performers ever on the pod. AWICH is the first-ever female Japanese rapper to perform at Coachella, and Taka is the lead singer of ONE OK ROCK, who’s performed to sold-out arenas across the world. Together, they are performing as YAO, with two other artists from Japan. We talk about how different Japanese and American youth culture is, why AWICH prefers Atlanta, and their process for making music as a group.  Before they join us, tune in to hear the gang talk about Jonnie’s working class fans.  Follow the IG: https://www.instagram.com/homeroom.show   Follow the TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@homeroomshow   Subscribe to our Substack: https://substack.com/@homeroomshow Guests: YAO: https://www.instagram.com/yao_jpn/  AWICH: https://www.instagram.com/awich098/ Taka: https://www.instagram.com/10969taka/  Hosted by:  Jonnie Park: https://www.instagram.com/dumbfoundead https://www.tiktok.com/@dumbfoundead  Steffie Baik: https://www.instagram.com/steffiebaik https://www.tiktok.com/@steffiebaik  Podcast Producer: Caroline Y Choi  Audio: Johnny Chay Podcast Media Team: GGEZ Media Learn more about your ad choices.
