Dominic Carter discusses the resolution of a manhunt following a deadly shooting at Brown University and the murder of an MIT professor. The suspect, identified as Claudio Neves Valente, was found dead from a self-inflicted wound, and investigators believe he targeted the professor due to a past connection at a university in Portugal. Carter and several callers critique the university's leadership for a lack of security cameras in the building where the attack occurred, suggesting that political pressure led to their removal. The discussion explores potential motives ranging from romantic rejection to professional jealousy over academic success in the field of physics.
