Welcome back to another edition of Deeper Lore. In this bonus episode, I'll dig into our archive of over 11 years of topics and point out some old episodes that fit nicely with this week's newest. The hope is that you can keep the spooky feeling going topically into the weekend, putting a handful of episodes into a new, more powerful context. So let's get started. This week for Lore 3.13, tall, tall tales. We climb all over the folklore that's grown up at the foot of Mount Shasta. Pretty incredible how one specific location can have so many stories to tell. But it's not the first time that we've discussed tales from the wilderness. So here are three older episodes that should pair up nicely with this week's new one. First up, episode 7 in the woods. This collection of stories from the first few months of Lore is all about the folklore of the Bridgewater Triangle. Not only are they some of my favorite stories, but they also went on to inspire me to create Bridgewater, the audio fiction series that came out for two seasons a few years ago, which, if you're a fan of that show, is in development right now for television. Do yourself a favor and listen to Lore episode 7 to hear where it all began. Next, download episode 67, The Redcoats. One thing people are really good at doing in the wilderness is getting lost. So this episode zeroes in on another powerful mountain, this one in New England, with its fair share of strange tales and going ons. I think that you're going to love this one, so do check it out. And finally, there's episode 101 worn away. I can't think of another stretch of American wilderness with more legends running around than Skinwalker Ranch. Maybe you've heard of it and wondered what all the fuss was about. Well, here's your chance to find out. Give it a listen and fake me later. And there you go, folks. Follow up this week's brand new episode with a trip into the past. Episodes 7, 67, and 101 are waiting for you in this podcast feed. You can just scroll through your app to find them, or you can tap on their direct links in the description for this episode. And until next time, stay spooky. And it has 50% more protein and 50% less sugar than regular milk. That's a big plus. And the fact that it didn't make a pun about moving? Also a plus.
