In this powerful episode of Coffeez for Closers, Joe sits down with Carlos Orellana — immigrant entrepreneur, fintech founder, and CEO building one of the most impactful financial platforms for the Latino community.

Carlos didn’t grow up with privilege.

He grew up with grit.

From arriving in the U.S. as a child from El Salvador… to serving in the Air Force… to working through the early days of mortgage tech and fintech disruption — Carlos has lived every phase of the American grind.

This conversation goes deep into:

• Why most financial institutions completely misunderstand Latino culture

• The difference between speaking Spanish and understanding community

• How fintech, digital wallets, and banking access are reshaping generational wealth

• Why Latinos represent one of the largest untapped economic forces in America

• Building legacy beyond money — and what impact really means

We also talk IPO pressure, startup sacrifice, leadership, fatherhood, and why real success is about creating opportunity for others — not just yourself.

This episode isn’t about hype.

It’s about building something that actually matters.

Top producers at E Mortgage Capital are earning more per deal—with faster closings, better tech, and no junk fees.

Most people don't realize how much their personal information is being bought and sold every day. Data brokers are making billions, pulling details about you from public records and the internet, and then packaging and selling it, usually without your consent. That's how your information lands in the hands of scammers, spammers, even stalkers. It's why you get endless robocalls and why ads seem to follow you everywhere. That's where Aura comes in. Aura actively removes your data from broker sites and keeps it off. They also instantly alert you if your information shows up in a breach or on the dark web. But Aura goes beyond data protection. With one app, you get a VPN, antivirus, password manager, spam call protection, dark web monitoring, and even up to $5 million in identity theft insurance, all backed by 24/7 US-based fraud support. Other companies might sell just credit monitoring, or just a VPN. Aura gives you all of it, together, at the same price competitors charge for just one service. What's your free trial today at aura.com/remove? Protect yourself now at aura.com/remove. How do you differ from these mega platforms, outside of just being, you know, Hispanic focus? Yes. So, number one, we can name six or seven right here in the US, but they all have one thing in common is they don't speak the language, but more importantly, they don't speak the culture. Because it's not just about... Welcome to another episode of Coffees. Because it's not just about speaking Spanish to the Hispanic Latinos. Yeah, they can just convert their app into Spanish. Correct, yeah. So there's a whole different, not only a business acumen that you have to understand, but also there's the culture aspect of how do you approach them. And they all have different cultures. I'm from El Salvador, so my culture is very different from people that are from Mexico, from Colombians, Venezuelans, Argentina, Peruvian, so it's how are you able to talk to every single one, understanding not only their culture, but their challenges and what drove them to come here to the US and make a life here. I feel that isn't El Salvador the biggest adopter of cryptocurrency in the world? Yeah, so actually the number one. So, you know, Bukele has made such a tremendous change in the last seven years in El Salvador. So he brought innovation, he's promoting a lot of technology, which allowed us, when he took presidency, to go out and was one of my business partners, Ronnie and my dream, to go back to El Salvador and how do we give back to our country? How can we go back and create a company and bring in bright minds, because there are a lot of intelligent kids over there, and making part of what we're building. Before then, the country was in complete destruction, there was a civil war, then there was the crime rate with the gangsters that were deported over there. But when he came up and cleaned the country, it was the opportunity. So we went over there, we created our headquarters, we got 22 amazing kids, our designers, engineers, developers and about seven others that specialize in digital content and marketing. So for us, it's a big fulfillment to have gone back and the government received us with
