I've spent a big part of my life focused on health, fitness, nutrition, and finding ways to get the most out of my body. But one thing I never paid nearly enough attention to was my mouth. I've had around 25 root canals and plenty of dental work over the years. And despite everything I've learned about health, I never really stopped to question how all of that might be affecting the rest of my body. That's one of the reasons I've been looking forward to this conversation for almost eight months.   Dr. Dominik Nischwitz, better known as Dr. Dome, is a world-renowned biological dentist, author of It's All in Your Mouth, and founder of BioDentistry 3.0. He's dedicated his career to connecting dentistry with functional medicine, healing, and longevity.   What fascinated me most wasn't just his knowledge of dentistry. It was his approach to health and his willingness to question things most people simply accept. We discussed root canals, metal fillings, ceramic implants, and why he believes oral health plays a much bigger role in our overall health than most people realize. But beyond dentistry, we connected over our personal struggles, learning to slow down, taking responsibility for our past, and putting our egos aside to help others. And after everything we discussed, I started looking at my own health, especially my dental health, a little differently.   In This Episode, We Talk About: ■ Why Dr. Dome believes oral health is the missing link in longevity ■ How root canals and previous dental work may affect overall health ■ The potential problems with metal fillings and titanium implants ■ The connection between oral health, inflammation, and the gut microbiome ■ Why a healthy-looking smile doesn't always mean a healthy mouth ■ What Dr. Dome would do about my 25 root canals ■ Why he believes conventional dentistry needs to evolve ■ His personal struggles with depression, burnout, and overworking ■ Why taking responsibility is essential for personal growth ■ How unresolved emotional trauma can affect our behavior ■ The importance of sleep, recovery, and knowing when to slow down ■ Why helping others matters more than recognition, money, or status   Follow Dr. Dominik here: https://drdomeofficial.com https://www.instagram.com/drdome1/ https://www.youtube.com/@DrDominikNischwitz/featured   Chapters: (00:00) Intro (00:49) Timeline (04:45) From Depression to Health (06:30) Traditional Dentistry (12:36) Ceramic vs. Titanium Implants (21:00) The Mouth-Body Connection (27:15) BioDentistry 3.0 (30:00) Dental Surgery and Recovery (35:15) Mind, Body, and Spirit (41:00) Taking Responsibility (43:00) Overcoming Your Past (45:25) Emotional Healing (46:20) Burnout and Overworking (51:25) Finding Your Purpose (54:40) My 25 Root Canals (56:00) The Treatment Process (59:00) Ceramic Implants and Recovery (1:03:00) Healing After Dental Surgery (1:06:00) Oral and Gut Health (1:09:00) Wisdom Teeth and Cavitations (1:12:00) Questioning Conventional Medicine (1:14:00) Health Misinformation (1:16:00) Integrity Over Influence (1:19:19) Final Reflections —-------------------------------------------------------------------------- TODAY'S EPISODE IS SPONSORED BY Timeline Get your FREE Mitopure Gummies Sample Here: timeline.com/gemelli —-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Get KYZATREX: FDA-approved oral testosterone capsule: http://www.getkyzatrex.com/dylangemelli —-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Get the Apollo Neuro for $99 OFF!! It's the biggest fly in the whole world that a nice smile means health underneath. It could be the total opposite. You could be looking beautiful and I see your X-ray and I see Terminator underneath. I'm the health expert that I would have needed 20 years ago to straightaway give me a pathway to optimal health. And I discovered in between we need a dentist because of the previous standard repair because that's the most unnatural feeling in your body and you cannot buy a heck of your way around it. Do you think tooth decay, which is number one chronic disease worldwide, is A, a fluoride deficiency or B, a lack of nutrients. Why do we get tooth decay in the first place? And why do we even need them to repair? The worst enemy for the tooth is actually the dental drill. But we do not learn how to avoid it. I think I've had 25 root canals, something like that. So there's four sides of wisdom teeth, right? I had one out. Let's just use me as an example of what the process would be for me so people can grasp somebody that screwed up what you're going to do for me. So first of all, here's an interesting question. How much do you actually know about the way your everyday habits are supporting how you age? We hear so much about longevity right now, sleep, protein, strength, training, nutrition, all of these things matter. But there's another layer that doesn't get nearly as much attention as it should. What's happening inside your cells? Your mitochondria produce the cellular energy that your body relies upon every day and mitochondrial dysfunction. That's considered a central hallmark of aging. And that's why I've been so interested in the work timeline does with might appear. Might appear as their pure and patented form of uralithin A. It supports mitochondrial function and cellular renewal by activating mitophagy, your body's natural process for clearing out damaged mitochondria. But rather than just tell you about it, timeline wants you to think about your own longevity habits. So they've created a longevity quiz that takes just a few minutes and it looks at some of the everyday habits that can support healthy aging. And the best part, if you complete the quiz, timeline will send you a free sample of might appear gummies. So take the quiz, learn a little bit more about how you're supporting the way you age and try might appear for yourself. Go to timeline.com/jamelli to take the longevity quiz and get your free gummies. That's timeline.com/jamelli. All right, everybody. Welcome back to the Dylan Jamelli podcast all smiles today and you're going to know right away why my guests today and I have been talking for quite a while now. I don't know seven, eight months. We've been trying to set this up. Not easy considering where he's from. It's a long distance journey to come and see me. But man, I have been waiting for this for such a long time. When I first found out about my guest, I was intrigued right off the bat and I was just it was I'm one of those people where if I want somebody, I'm not going to stop till I get them. And that's what I did with my guest today. But he listen, a lot of you are going to know who he is. I'm going to give him a little introduction. I want to take as much of the time that I can to maximize learning what he's got because it is on a different level of learning. So he is one of the world's leading, I would say the leading, biological dentist. He's the founder of bio dentistry 3.0 and that is the fusion of high tech high tech dentistry with functional medicine and longevity health optimization. And he's the author of It's All in Your Mouth and he's built a global standard, bio dentistry global standard, which is training dentists worldwide to find what everyone else missed. I can't say enough about my guy here today. We have a lot of similarities. We grew up around the same time periods. He's my guy. You'll know him as Dr. Dom, not Dom. He corrected me right away as Dr. Dom. Dr. Dominic Nishwitz. Thank you so much for having me Dylan. Appreciate it. Thank you so much for coming and seeing me brother. I have, like I said, have been looking forward to this conversation. I hit it off with you immediately. We have, like I said, similarities for our love of Jordans and shoes and everything else, but of health and impact and you make a massive impact because you do something special. You do something different and you've incorporated dentistry with overall health standards. And so I kind of want to get into, first of all, what drove you to become a dentist because we were talking off camera a little bit, and this was not really your preferred profession. So let's talk about what you wanted to do

Transcription truncated.
