SETTING YOUR AFFECTION ON GOD (SECRET TO GIVING) - PS. ISAIAH FOSU-KWAKYE JNR
You are welcome to the podcast of Dominion Chapel International, the special place. We are a church that believes in pure worship, an adulterated word and family being enlightened as you listen to this message. "All right, the first chronicles chapter 29 on the read, a scripture there, some scriptures there, first chronicles 29, verse one going. How many of you know that Word of God is very important? The Word of God is very, very important. People read our scripture, can somebody help me read Marti chapter four and verse number four? Marti four verse four, let's read the one before we come to first chronicles. Let's look at Matthew chapter four verse four. When we are ready together from the larger screen, let's go one to go. Hallelujah. For the one created in Christ Jesus, if I will say in first Peter 1 and 3, if I'm right, being born again out of corruptible seed, but incorruptible. And when you look at that seed there, it's the same, oh, that is where we get that word spam, which is the seed that comes from a man, the male species that meets up with the egg in the female, and then another human being is formed. That one is corruptible, it means that seed is subject to decay, that seed has an introduction of death, that seed does not have necessarily the eternal life of God in there. But the seed that we are born of is the Word of God, that is life, comes to joins up to one verse three there about, is life, and that is what we are born by, that we are born by the Word, and we are perfected or being made perfect by the Word. We are born by the Word, regeneration happens to your spirit by the Word. Your soul is renewed by the Word, and the Word prepares your body for restoration. And you say regeneration, it means that your spirit man, that was once dead, receives the life of God, and is reborn, John 3 verse 3, John 3, 5, is reborn by the Word of God. Hallelujah, John 1, 13, is reborn by the Word of God, does receive life that we created, second Corinthians 5, 17, if anyone being Christ is a new creature, all things are possible to become new, that spirit man has received the life of God is new, is born again. And is by the Word of God. But the soul where you find the mind, the emotions, the intellect is going through a season of perfection, Romans 12 and V2, said be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. And the renewal of the mind happens by the Word of God. So you are born by the Word. You are right standing with God in your spirit man by the Word. Your soul is being aligned to the newness of life in your spirit man by the Word. And by that same word, you are your body that is waiting for restoration. So there's regeneration for the spirit. There is renewal for the mind or the soul and this restoration for the body where we shall have a new body, hallelujah. And so by the Word of God, the body is being prepared and kept to be captured in glory. It is the Word of God in your soul that moves your mindset from the world thinking to the kingdom thinking. It is possible to have eternal life in your spirit man and his still misbehave. Because when it comes to behavior, it's a function of what is happening in your soul. So you need the Word of God because the Word of God backs you, the Word of God prepares or renews your mind, prepares your soul. And then it also prepares your body for the final restoration. So man shall not leave my bread alone, but by every word I present out of God, the Word of God is our life. If you are not frequent to the Word, it means your renewal is delaying. And when you are is delaying, you are born again by a city of like the world. The life of the Father in your spirit man begins to govern your soul by it's being amplified by the Word. It's the Word of God that gives amplification to the spirit that carries the life of God in your soul. Now there are some of us that we still operate and do the things of the old life. And there's no remorse in us. Why? Because we are aliens, the Word of God. I'm not talking about reading the Word, I'm not talking about the Word finding settlement in you and it's detecting to you how to live. For as many as are led by the Spirit, He had the sons of God, rumors chapter 80, we had that beautiful chapter there. The Holy Spirit cannot lead you beyond the extent of the leadership of the Word in your soul. It can live beyond that. So the Word of God is very important. It's very important. Your formation, your ability to live the life of Christ is all tied to the Word. And I keep saying this from times, so you have said it every time to you. How many times we come to church, we come on Sunday, we start serving as 7.30 and maybe 11. We close as how many hours, as how many hours, how many hours we speak out, we bold speak out. Don't be an average guy near speak out. Is that four hours? Three and a half. Because all that tells me is that. And then we come here on Tuesday, which a lot of us don't come, amen? And that is from 6.30 to what time to 8 o'clock. That's how many hours? One and a half. And then on Thursday, we come at 6.30 and close out, 80, that's two hours, all right? Then you have the whole of Saturday, the whole, the Zoom program, you may add it, the whole of Saturday, the whole of Monday, the whole of Wednesday, the whole of Friday. And you are busy interacting with the world, busy interacting with the world. When you spend time with God in His Word, and you spend time with God in your work, you don't have to struggle to review Christ. It's automatic, because out of the abundance. So moments like this, when we have to go through God's Word, He's so crucial, He's so important. You see, the devil is very patient, he doesn't rush his work. That's what I have been saying, that looking spiritual is not enough. To build stamina on the inside, it takes a lot, it can be very boring. Imagine I come purely, we are reading through the whole New Testament, it's boring. But to sit, and a man of God comes with deep lemur, and you are shallelujah, is very easy. But to build stamina. And you see, there are a lot of He sits in here, it's just by the mercy of God, if I may put it this way. And perhaps somebody praying for you, because they have not killed yourself, because the devil started working on your soul about three years now, he's been working on you. The guy is knowing the heists, but see, it comes to steal, to kill and destroy, gradually, gradually. As soon as you start seeing that, nobody likes me, I'm not going to be alone, that's that it. I want to be lonely, not alone, that's that it. And you put some habits being you, that doesn't make you bold to stand before God in prayer. So number one, he disconnects you from association with God. Number two, disconnects from the system that God has put in place for your safety, the community. So, first of all, from communion, and then from community. That's why I've said several times, when you start seeing yourself, not too sad, not being in church, something has started. So I started, oh, we are all attacked emotionally. But he said, when the enemy shall come against you like a flood on the top of stuff, they must be something. And he said, why would God tell David to pick five stones? He picked five stones and used only one. You don't preach all you have kept, or you don't preach all you let, you preach one fifth of what you have lent. The remaining four is for your personal use. That's why I said, man of God, if all you do is read and come and preach, read and come and preach, you are not safe, you are not safe. I heard the man of God made a statement that a resource conducting in America, and he said the most depressed people in America are pastors and ministers of the gospel. Is that not strange? But that is it. Why did I bring this? I didn't feel like, say, but I have to let you know, see, the things that we keep telling you and warn you about the smell of you are joking with, it's not every day you have a pastor to call. You won't. He's also a human being. But there's a friend that's still with a brother, he's the holy ghost, and the principles we are teaching you is to make that relationship with him very formidable, such that you can easily hear him when the devil is picking you so loud. That is still a small voice, he has his louder than a loud voice for the devil. Please take these things serious. I beg you. There are some of you indulging in things, and I've told you several times, that personally immediately I stand here, there are many things I see, but I don't talk because I am trusting God with you that with time, as we are teaching the word, we are praying, you are changing, the fact that I'm not holding you by me, the fact that I'm not holding you on the phone, that's me, I don't do what you are doing. It comes in the office, I hate with me, it comes in the office, it's part of the equipment. So please, let's esteem God's word, I beg every other thing. Job set up, esteem that word, I beg my necessary food. There's too much happening in the world, there's too much happening, too much happening, and the quickest way the devil can get you off the scene is to die, because not you die, you have no choice to repair again. But can I tell you something, suicide is a selfish agenda. The focus of the devil is not you, is those whom your suicidal death will get them out of the kingdom. Because there are many that was such an unwanted man of God, that medicine was so blessed how can God watch him to die, they will not be in the lie. So the focus is not just you, you are just a seed of a forest. So please, take these words first, you just, what I'm doing here, one day will come, where maybe you don't take a serious, and then you pass on, and then God will show you, that's what God did to, the private that Jesus Christ shared, that's why did the rich man, rich man said, here's too hot, I said that angel from here, let Lazarus go and tell them, said, no, there were many pastors telling you already, I don't send anybody again, there are many pastors. Your soul, just in a split second, flash through your face, all the programs you went to, every song that was sung, every prison that was preached, every book you are told to read, you see them pass like this, and you now see what could have been, if you have done this, and then that is what is called the nation of tit, it's worse than hell, these things that we say, don't joke with them, there will always be a hadainun, where you can change that situation for yourself. So when we tell you come to church, come, let's pray, let's fast, people of God, we are working on our salvation, the community of saints is just supposed to be a catalyst for individual saints to grow by themselves, but you don't put everything on the community of saints, that's just by the way, furthermore King Devi said to all the assembly, my son Solomon whom alone God has chosen is young and inexperienced, and the work is great because that temple is not for man, but for the Lord God, that's true. Now for the house of my God, I have prepared with all my might, note it down, gold for things to be made of gold, silver for things of silver, bronze for things of bronze, that means that you cannot provide bronze for what we need gold for, are you with me? That's why sometimes in our only two way, we'll tell you, I need to put up can give us a thousand cities, can give up a thousand cities, can give us tunnels, that's what thousands of cities can do, that's what fairness can do, that one city cannot do, there are things for gold, and therefore we need gold for it, there are things for silver that will need silver for it, but the beautiful thing is that all these various categories gives every single person in the community an opportunity to give into the kingdom of God, I mean there's no one has an excuse, that's what means, let's read on, iron for things of iron, wood for things of wood, or in stone for things to be set, glisten stones of various colors, all kinds of precious stones and marble slabs in abundance, now remember that all these supplies is one man, it's coming from one man, one man, more of a, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, so he had a budget, he had a target, he had prepared in his paper, on his paper, on his mind, that I'm going to give maybe thousands bars of gold or this or that, but the affection he has for God's house made him go beyond what his might go prepared, does this remind you of the Jesse Macedonia, I see that, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, my own special treasure of gold and silver, that's four, three thousand talents of gold, of the gold offer and seven thousand talents of refined silver to overlay the walls of the houses, the gold for things of gold and the silver for things of silver, and for all kinds of work to be done by the hands of the craftsmen, who then is willing to consecrate himself this day to the Lord, hundred of us, six, then the leaders of the farthest houses, leaders of the tribes of Israel and the captain of houses, of thousands and of hundreds with the officers over the king's work of Fred willingly, this is why when I am raising CDIS that first, so David is the king, the standard David lays, oh boy, and everyone within their ranks, so the B shop, the rest of them basta, the associate bastas, everybody within the rock, and if we have, they give me why, they saw how this might be in this thing, but we are coming somewhere with this, let's read on, it's a beautiful story, they gave for the work of the house of God, five thousand talents and ten thousand, um, um, directs of gold, ten thousand talents of silver, eighteen thousand talents of bronze, and one hundred thousand talents of iron, wow, and whoever had precious stones gave them to the treasury of the house of the Lord, into the hand of Jael, the Jesha knight, yeah, then the people rejoice for they had offered willingly, because with their lawyer hat, they had offered willingly to the Lord, and the king also rejoiced, greatly, now take us to vest number three, of course then David blessed the Lord before it's okay, let's go to vest number three of that same chapter, and I say it's more of a, because I have set my affection on the house of a Lord my God, now I just want to remind you from the teachings we have in so far, that since you gave your life to Jesus Christ, you have also been moved from one world to another, you remember, I've said that before, you are now in the kingdom of his dear son, Jesus, you are no longer in the world, what I mean is that you are no longer off the world to live by the world, though you are in the world, you are now in a different world, read that in, I think, John 3 13, as in no one, as a descendant of heaven except the son of Monica in heaven who is in heaven, and so we saw from that scripture, you can take us there so that we will be seeing it while we are sharing the word of God, John 3 13, let me see if he's there, you can have that one here and keep this one for me, okay, kind of, is it that good, he says no one has ascended to heaven, but he who came down from heaven, that is the son of man who is in heaven, this is Jesus Christ speaking, and he's speaking to Nicodemos, so they are having a conversation, and in that conversation he says that no one has gone to heaven except the son of man which is him who came down from heaven who is in heaven, but at that moment we see he's on earth, so that tells us that it's an example of how we are become born again by in Ephesians chapter 1, all right, from verse 20, 21 down to the end, and Ephesians 2 they're about somewhere, verse number 6 they're about, the Bible says that we are seated with him in heavenly places, far above, because in verse 21 or so they're about, he says is it a far above, okay, does it there, and has raised us, I'm not taking us to the verse chapter 1 verse number 20 downwards, let me see quickly, all right, 20, take us to 20, are you following me, which he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places. The next verse now, far above all principality and power and might and the million and every name that is named not only in this age but also in the in that which is to come, so we see that he's the one that has been raised and seated in heavenly places far above, but the chapter 2 name makes understand that we are actually in him and in the same position, so Joseph says and raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so we are in him sitting together with him in heavenly places far above, we are not sharing one chair, we are inside him on the same chair, we are not sharing the chair then there'll be a problem, so that Christ shift, let me see about you, shift, no, we are all in him, I mean as many as we how can we share one chair with him, but we are in him, so he's on the chair fully and we are on the chair fully, all of us on the chair fully, so we are sitting far above and resolving powers, that is our same shell place of dominion and the earth is our place of manifestation hey with me, so just guys speaking, so we are we are not of this world, we are of the world, so we live by the world, we make money by the systems of the world, of the new kingdom, we don't make money by the world, are you with me, but it's very difficult to find a lot of business, christian business people who have made Christ like money, Christ like money in the church is scarce, but smart money is a lot in the church, it's one of the smartness there, you will not pay your taxes, you will not pay off on the taxes, you will not pay your employees, what did you do them, are you here at all, I think I should move on because I think it's not helping the ministry, you're going to partnership with people and you ensure that the side of the deal favors you more than the person you are going and you are a believer, so Christ is the Lord of your life and not the Lord when it comes to your business deals because if you don't go that way you will not make it, who told you that, there is a security that comes with money made Christ like, it leaves out your generation, so a lot of us, yes we are believers, but when it comes to the place of money, Jesus give to Caesar what is Caesar and give to God what is God, on Sunday I gave you your money, I gave you your tithe, I gave you whatever city as for now is my turn to give to Caesar what Caesar deserves, so you're going to buy something what 50 Ghana cities and sell it as 600 Ghana cities and you you tag that as supernatural wisdom, it is the blessing of the Lord that makes it rich and added to sorrow, now if what I'm saying you are still contending within your mind it means that Jesus always has been the Lord of your spirit, but for your soul it still belongs to you and there are side effects for a believer who does not go by the word of God, there are side effects, the side effects are very very feminine, but because of the mercy of God it takes a long time for it to start showing, I love how you are quiet and pastor you are knowing in business that's why you don't understand the business that we have from the Christian world, thank you sir, thank you Ma. Hallelujah, so you don't rule by that now so in this kingdom there is something that rules it's called love and so in all our investment culture in the kingdom the monitor is love, love for God, hallelujah. Fiscal is speaking me and my family don't have in terms of how people will see it, but he supplies all our need, according to speeches and glory, daily he's helping us not to depend on the resources of men, but depend on him, it's beautiful, there's so much peace. Now here this the Bible says that David said that I have set my affection on the house of a Lord, I have set my affection on him, I have set my affection, so the secrets, the level of given that David did with the whole of his mites, it was a joy for him to do this, it was it was it was satisfying for him, he feels so good doing this, he's not the one building the house, go say you're not gonna build it, your hands are full of blood, your son will build it, say but however I must be part of this thing, I must be part of this, I must be part of this it, a man who has set his affection on God, let me let me read what I've written here, so I want to, a man who has set his affection or desire on and in God will not be able to refuse God, his possession, so it's easy for you to fight with God when it comes to the place of releasing the possessions that he has given to you for his work, when your affection is not set on God, when your affection is set on God, your possession will be directed towards God, your affection will be where your treasure is, let's go to Matthew 621 is as for where your treasure is, there your heart will be, let's let's take it from verse 19, let's see something from verse 19, let's see something right now, it's now look at this, this is Jesus, this is Jesus speaking, Jesus is speaking, hello, do you believe the word of God, do you believe the word of God, hallelujah, now Jesus is speaking to you and I, he's not talking to some people, those days is as now, he's talking to us, he says do not lay up for yourself, treasures on earth, where mud and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, yes let's go, but lay up for yourself, treasures in heaven, where need a mud nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal, why must you do this, for where your treasure is, there your heart will be, also where your treasure is, there your heart will be, also where your treasure is, there your heart will be also, so if your treasures are in God, then your heart will be in God, but your treasures cannot be in God, if God is not first your treasure, is God your treasure, when you stand to sink, when you stand to utter was Lord, you are my lover, I love you the whole of my heart, you are everything to me, you are my breath, you are my nostrils, you are my teeth, you are my tongue, you are my everything, it's so easy and beautiful to be so eloquent in describing something that you have not totally become, love for God, it's not fast in talks, it's in doings, David says I've set my affection on the house of God, why is affection on the house of God, because he's affection, I wrote something, let me read it to you, let me see if I can find it, okay okay, so David's love for the temple of God, David's love for the temple of God was because of his love for the God of the temple, David's love for the temple of God was because of his love for the God of the temple, did you get it, good, your love cannot be in the things of God if first of all your love is not in God, it's your love for God that makes you love the things of God, the things of God are not the priority to you and I, if God is not a priority, if God is secondary then his works will be secondary to you, when he's your number one then his work will be your number one, David's love for the temple of God, that love that propelled him to do all that you have to do to make sure that every resource needed to build God a classic temple, that thing that made him do that because the love he has forgot and when you read, let's read the scripture, when you read in the book of 1 Samuel 13 verse 14, say, "But now thy kingdom shall not continue, the Lord has sought him a man after his own heart and the Lord had commanded him to be captained by his people because thou has not kept, that's which the Lord commanded thee." That is Samuel speaking to Saul and God is saying here, he said, "The Lord has sought for himself a man after his heart. God is always seeking for men after his heart, God is always seeking for. In Psalm 89 verse 20, he said, "I have found David." In that scripture in John 4, I say that the Lord is seeking for true worshipers. God is always looking, looking, searching, finding. Can I find one that is worthy of my attention? There's not one who is perfect though, the one who is after God. The man after God, who soon be after God. The man after God, his life will soon be very like God. I found my David my servant with my holy oil, I've anointed him. Acts 13, 22, he said, and when he had removed him, he raised up onto them, David to be their king, to whom also he gave testimony. This is God speaking about David. And he said, "I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my own heart which shall fulfill all my will." And if if we were to go deeper into the something I wrote down, but to the hallelujah. Wow, the man after God's after. His affection was in God, affection was in God, affection was in God. May the Lord count us grace. May these words come into you and not be the words of a man, maybe quickened by a spirit and have access in our hearts, break up our follow grounds. Hallelujah. May you are fetching me set on God. May you are fetching me set on God in the name of Jesus. People of God, the world seeks our affection. In the world our relationship has seen our affection. I see all of us here understand what affection is. No, all of us understand it. But I see when truth is coming, the devil seem to make us think that what we are saying is abstract. But all of us, you know what it means for your affection to be set on something or somebody. There are some of us, our affection is set on football. There is no, there's no competition going on the world that you don't have information about it. And you are so diligent at it. And interestingly, anything you see about it sticks your head when you pick the Bible as a stick. It's not because you're not brainy, your affection is not set. Because if you, if you know it carefully, when you start that journey, it is not all of a sudden that the names are stuck in your head. It's when you stay longer in it. So this player, there is a, you know this player, you watch much one, much two, much three, much four. It gets a point without thinking, you just know the name. Just know. Anything you realize that it hasn't come to you easily, it means that thing you have not invested blood into it. There are some of you here that watch is set in there, you just know what you're doing. What is a psychology student doing in a bank? What is a Greek engineering student doing as a marketer? Oh, there are some of them that they study, what do you call it, biochemistry. And they end up as just an accountant. You move to a whole different industry, a whole different career, the same head. Some ways, some things set up an interesting nothing for you. And you begin to pay the price for it because you could see a future in it. The same you, the same you, the same you, you just need a little more sacrifice. And then your body will, will become acclimatized to it. Your body will just, we just love it. That's all. How can the same you can mention all the teams in, in, in, in, in the La Liga, in the, uh, uh, Syria, what? And, and, and, and, uh, the, uh, the, the, the German league, um, the English, you, you, you know all the teams. In fact, the, the, the table is in your brain without thinking you can't tell who is fought, who is fit, who is set. You can tell those all relegation who are going relegation. You can tell, you know all the, the names of the coaches in all of them. But yeah, you said people of God, you can't even tell the author of a book in the Bible. And yet you will tell me that I've done everything we go, but nothing is working. Are you sure? Where is your affection? Even when you are giving your tithe because they have told you to give it, you have never said, Lord, I'm giving, I love it, but I want to know something deeper about this thing. Open my eyes in the word of God about it. So they can be able to see the results. But what are you doing? You are giving a tithe and complain that avivites are nothing is happening. But have you seen the mystery behind it yet? Have you gone before God to open your eyes, to see the mystery such that you come to a point that even when you don't have, you must have a gift to him? The kingdom of God is such that you are able to lay hold on half best by revelation. His affection was set on God. All of us know what affection is. God, the price you paid for that woman you loved. Well, I mean, I'm just telling this, I'm practically, the things we are seeing, they are not abstract, they are real. They are real. You see a tough guy who is, who looks difficult to approach. And you see him before a woman he loves and he's like a molly. You know, molly, you don't molly. What's the English word? No, you know, pop, pop. Yeah. The guy is, is, is useless before the kind of might seem like something so useless before a dumb cell. Affection is set. You're feeling set. Everything about you is set. You, in the worship time, you don't feel like crying because it's not by crying. But the same had you when the lady now tell me, say, I don't marry me. I don't, I don't want you. You cried, but you have never thought of the death of Christ and cried. Never in your life. Never is it me, my eyes are hard. But how come that sister made you cry? How come? Your affection. So you can all of us here can actually measure the external affection for God because your affection is set or something. Your emotions are the part of it. Everything about you is part of it. David's affection was set on God, set on God, set on God. The man could, he's the man, the place that, the, the act of covenant upon the mountain and did not put any solid, solid substance around it. Only 10. So everybody can see, called the technical of David. By his walk with God, even in read the book of Psalms, you see, how the man had written scripts that Christ would read, his affection. He said three times, he goes, it's a love to pray and, and, and, and, and the remaining time was a worship. How can you govern an angel like that? Are you serious at all? But the most successful king in the history of Israel is David till this, they celebrate him. No one come in affection about God. No, not affect the generation. It's not possible. It's not possible. Not a religious person, a lover of God, a lover of God. One time had a privilege to sit under a discussion with a great father of the faith in our times. And he was talking, he was talking, he stopped. He said, you will not understand my secret. You know my love for Jesus. He said, I cry. He said, I cry. See, you do not understand, you will not know my secret. He said, you know my love, I said, hey, the man loves God. And you, boy, you can tell when you stand before the man. And all the great men, God is, you, you, they might have faults. But your love for God is too intact. You can tell David is affection for God. I told you on Sunday, when Nathan now broke, that didn't you say, I, he put the crown down, don't deserve this crown. He put the ropes down, put the sack loads and was crying, catch me not away. We have some of us, and be included myself. And we offend God. I mean, our faith is Lord, I'm sorry, but in our hearts, that we know will be there. No, I'm telling the truth. Sometimes our words, if God should rather amplify their thoughts in our hearts, we'll all be scared. It's affection. It's about affection that he gave. If you and I can understand this revelation, people of God, and we are giving the things of God, you will not need any passive missionifica because you, the Holy Ghost, what are we doing? How far can we go Holy Ghost? How far can we go? How far can we go Holy Ghost? You know my strength, but I want to go beyond my strength. How far can we go? When the Holy Ghost through you sacrifices is pleasing to the sight of God and is changing the sight of men. Who drew his eternal spirit? You get the point? The sacrifice of Christ was by his eternal spirit. When the Holy Ghost partners with you to invest results in the kingdom of God, it is pleasing to God and is scary to men. How? That's what happened in his second Corinthians. He said, "Be your, the update will be on this." So from what happens, I would say that, "Oh, can we give a talent to this?" Holy Ghost said, "No, you are beyond that." He said, "Oh, you are beyond that. You are beyond that. You are beyond that. We can do more than this. We can do more than this. We can, because your partner, God is your partner. That's what we want to get to. Now we all come to a place and now walk with God and in the things of God, but when you are still like a man or two, we have no reason to sit for any kind of things. Pastor, what's happening? Okay, let me just put something that comes. To start with, when you are ready, let me know. But their presence will make them become a life and before the Holy Ghost. When they are before the Holy Ghost, ah, great things are going to happen. We had a chat. So, if you don't save any more in church, because people offended you. You don't get it. You don't get it. I won't save again because you're offended me. You don't get it. You are missing it.
