Without further ado, the mic is on, and I present to you, Jen Thompson. Five, four, three, two, one, and here we are with Jen, you're nervous, huh? Yep. You want to say a prayer before? It's 32A. We're already jumped in. Everyone's going to be not surprised to hear that Jen's nervous. Yeah, isn't it crazy? Well, you know, I'm going to introduce yourself really quick and then we'll kind of jump in. So please introduce yourself. How shall I introduce myself? I'm Jen Thompson. And you are a by day. I am a mom 24/7. I am a nurse and a small business owner by day, business day, and I'm an ultra runner 24/7. I just got in. You just got here today? Yes, I did just land. Yeah. And you got a race tomorrow? Yep. Black Canyon, 100k, Aravipa. Talk about that race because it starts where? Black Canyon. Yeah, the race tomorrow. Yes, well, it's kind of a very historic race because it runs most of the length of the Black Canyon Trail, which is kind of just these epic sweeping views, like, to die for a single track and it's kind of a net downhill race, which is not my usual style, but I did it a couple years ago and really wanted to come back and see the course just because it showcases like all of what makes Arizona trail running so spectacular. It's a great showcase race that way. You know, Havalina is like the pinnacle ultra event of Arizona, but that's a loop course and doesn't really showcase the desert the way that Black Canyon is just, you know, if you want to say to someone like, what's so great about trail running in Arizona, I'd say go get on that course, even if you can't run the course, run segment of the Black Canyon Trail. It's just, yeah, really beautiful. And do they say for the river tomorrow, are you going to be able to cross it? Yeah, we will be able to cross it. I mean, today they said it was really quite still a bit of rapids to it, but they think that the most of the, you know, watershed will be over with and it'll be passable.
