Argentina Update – President Fernandez meets with Putin & more – 10th Feb 2022

President Fernández was out on tour, met with Vladimir Putin and said that Argentina has to stop being dependent on the IMF and the US. He also visited Xi Jinping and talked about boosting the trade between the two countries. Argentina has become one of the 140 nations to sign up to China’s Belt and Road initiative, six Argentine athletes have headed to Beijing for the Winter Olympics, Juan Martín del Potro retires from tennis, the government forecasts an inflation rate of 40 per cent for this year, the spread of Omicron seems to be slowing down, pro-government demonstrators marched to demand a reform of the judicial system, and much more!
