So in the like, affective owning the stage, being the showman category, Vivek Ramaswami was the standout star, I thought. He took up so much more space than his numbers in the polling would necessarily suggest. He was really dynamic every time he was answering a question. He had a kind of ownership of the pace of the debate. He was the most willing to interrupt the moderators and kind of like break the form and violate the rules. I did kind of think he would get my like Trump 2016 award for being the person I was, couldn't take my eyes off during the debate. In particular, you know, one of the qualities he brought to it was like he would jump out right in front and say, I'm definitely gonna pardon Donald Trump, right? If I'm elected, I'm pardoning Trump. And it would be really interesting if he and Trump are on the same debate stage at some point. - Right. What's his role when Trump's actually on stage? Is it kind of sympathetic to be Trump's mini-me, you know? - Vivek already has a problem, which is that in his 2022 book, he criticized Trump pretty viciously. He said of January 6th, it was a dark day for democracy. The loser of the last election refused to concede the race, claimed the election was stolen, raised hundreds of millions of dollars from loyal supporters and is considered running for executive office again. I'm referring, of course, to Donald Trump. So like, this guy's a phony, and he's a big fucking phony. And it's so funny, like goldfish brains of the pundit, right? Who don't remember that like, this guy was saying these kinds of things last year and is now positioning himself as like, the most will do whatever we can to defend dear leader.
