Merry Christmas! Here's a little bonus content to tide you over until 2023. In April, Matt and Sam appeared on the excellent Jokermen podcast to discuss Bob Dylan's Christian rock records. And now we're sharing it with you. Lots to chew on in here for fans of KYE, Dylan, Jesus, and rock n' roll. Enjoy.

Hello, and Merry Christmas listeners, it's Sam, welcoming you to a special holiday hangover bonus episode of Know Your Enemy. Matt is still down in Pennsylvania with his t-totaling parents, probably white knuckling it through day five or six of no bourbon, but I'm still here in New York City, the den of sin, having spent the holiday in my bed with a very mild case of COVID-19. During my convalescence, I've been thinking a lot about a certain Jewish holy man who's brought me and Matt and maybe you a great deal of comfort in our lives. He's not from the Middle East, but the Midwest, and his name is Bob Dylan. As you may know, or assume Matt and I are big apologists for Dylan's late 70s Christian rock records, and so we were thrilled in April 2022 to be invited on the wonderful Jokerman podcast to discuss Dylan's gospel era with the Jokerman themselves, Ian and Evan, and I thought while you, dear listener, are eating leftover ham or sneaking off to your childhood bedroom to hide from your family and take furtive hits from your weed pen, you also might enjoy listening to that conversation we had with Ian and Evan about Dylan's Christian era. Now, if you hate it when we talk about Bob on Know Your Enemy, you won't enjoy this at all, but for everyone else, why don't you sit back, relax, and take a few minutes on this day after Christmas, to contemplate the man who came and died a criminal's death. Merry Christmas, happy new year, we love you, enjoy. Welcome back, it's Jokerman podcast, I'm Evan, I'm Ian and today we're joined, today's a Jokerman for some, this isn't the most people, this is the tide for the most people that we've ever had on the show at one time, so we're gonna have to wrangle everyone here, we're joined by two other professional podcasters, great knowers and scholars of the conservative movement over the last century, they're here to discuss conservative artists Bob Dylan, Sam and Matt from Know Your Enemy. Hey, happy to be here, I'm really excited to talk about right-wing religious fanatic Bob Dylan. Fantastic. Just to be clear, you're both conservatives and that's how you identify. Yeah, yeah, no, Bob's sort of a sign on the conservative movement, that's why we are so attached to him. Beautiful. Well, you have come to the right place because we're, you know, we're big fans of Bob, I'm not even gonna bother making sure about neighborhood police. No, I was gonna do this, you know, we'll leave that aside for the time being. Don't touch that dial, if you're concerned that these people are actually going to be espousing right-wing views, know that these are two left of their, I would say you're slightly left of center, and that you actually are, you spend your time on your podcast Know Your Enemy, analyzing and knowing the right-wing contingency. The titular enemy. The enemy. Yeah. Yeah. Uh-huh. That's correct. I think Sam and I would both call ourselves socialists and our podcast is dedicated to looking at the right, as you said, so. There you go. Just a little comedy to get us started. Yeah.
