Hebrew 10:19-25 "Draw Near, Hold Fast, & Provoke"

How do we live in this world in a way that brings honor and glory to God? This is an age old question.

The author of Hebrews reminds us of three foundational truths then gives us three directives that influence how we live in this world as followers of Jesus.

The Christian life is rooted in the truths that Jesus has paved a way, through His life and death, He has paved a way for us to confidently enter God's presence. He is also acting as our Great High Priest in the true, heavenly Holy of Holies. And God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - has provided for us the cleansing and purification needed to enter God's presence as children.

These truths should lead us to three applications. First, we drew near to God in faith through prayer and worship. Second, we hold tightly to the hope that we have in Jesus. Third, we "provoke" one another on the love and good works as we gather together, even in the face of persecution and hardship.
