Hebrews 3:1-6 "Fix Your Thoughts on Jesus"

In Hebrews 3:1-6, the author of Hebrews narrows his focus from prophets and angels to one important prophet in the history of Israel - Moses.

The author maintains the importance of Moses in the history of God's people by showing his faithfulness as a servant in the household of God.

But the author goes on to show the greater glory and honor of Jesus, showing us that Jesus is the Son of God and the builder of the house.

Because Jesus has greater glory than Moses, we are called to fix our thoughts on Him, which involves meditation on the person and work of Jesus. This consideration of Jesus also involves public profession and proclamation of what we believe.
