Today we are going on a journey of discovery with God, his prophets Elisha and Elijah, a certain woman and a widow. It was a time of extreme hardship for both a certain woman and the widow. They were of different tribes, lived in different locations and of different times. They had much in common. Both were widowed, living in a time of oppression and inequality, as a result were powerless and vulnerable. They considered their life was at an end. For them they felt all hope was gone.
