The suffering that was from the hands of the ones He came to save, humanity. John saw His resurrected Lord and His nail pierced hands as Jesus handed him the fish He had just cooked for Him. John witnessed Jesus' ascension and heard the promise of His return. Fast forward through John’s journey to the time of exile when he receives a greater revelation of Jesus and hears the voice of freedom.
