On this episode we have Jordan, she's another one of the individuals who shared an amazingly creepy, spooky ghost story, part of the stitch from Danielle's. Tell me if you've ever had a ghost story or whatever. So that's the beginning of that. But Jordan, thank you so much for coming on the podcast. Thank you, it's a pleasure to be here. Yeah, absolutely. I was just telling you, I just re-listened to your story that you shared online. And wow, it is one of the more spooky, almost like, cryptid-sounding ghost stories or paranormal stories I've heard. I hope you're okay from that experience because it's going to be intense. It's weird, I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. Just posting the video just over a week ago and it's kind of sparked some more activity and conversations and it's just, it's a bit surreal to be fair. I'm sure. And one thing we love to find out from our guests is where they fall and what we call the "believo" meter. Yes, this is gooby as it sounds. Zero, meaning you don't believe in ghost and ten ghosts are absolutely real. Where do you fall on that scale? You know, even with everything that's happened, I still probably think I'm about seven or eight. Okay. Yeah, I can relate to that for sure. And I know that you said in your video that your partner is a hardcore skeptic. My wife is the same way so I can relate to that. Obviously, you've got your story and we'll jump into that. But prior to that happening, had you ever had anything paranormal happen to you? Yeah, once before, and again, it's a bit of an odd one. I like to think that everything can be explained, but in this situation, I was with my grandmother just having a chat with her, just no past, but I was having a chat with her and where she was sat, I could see our houses are really small here. I could see the front door and the window and it looked like somebody walked past the front window and stood next to the door, me expecting a knock on the door. I just turned to look and no one was there. And then my grandmother just stopped in mid conversation and said, it's weird thinking about it. She stopped to make conversations and said, do you think someone's there? I said, oh, yeah, I thought someone was at the door and she went, no, somebody is there, but don't be afraid. And I must have looked like it terrified. And she said, you'll understand when you're older, just take no of them. It's just weird. Then obviously, I'm older now, I'm about 15 years older now and I still don't understand. Why is it whenever somebody says, don't be afraid? It's immediately terrifying. Yeah. Yeah. It just stays with you forever and it's I'm never going to forget it. It's like, don't be afraid. There's this giant spider on your shoulder. It's like, yeah, I'm going to be afraid of that giant spider. But did you ever learn what that entity was that was around the house? No, my grandma's house had a weird vibe before me all the time. All my cousins said that they'd seen people there and it was a council house which had lots and lots, that's like a social house, I guess. And it's had lots and lots of owners in like such a short space of time and yeah, it just felt like a really cold, horrible house. So I don't know if it was just from the vibe of the house, I don't know. But my nam was a spooky lady. She used to sit there and talk to people that weren't there and we used to think, you know, maybe she's just, this is just senile, she's just acting her age. But apparently she would do it when she were younger as well. Oh, that's interesting. So do you think she was like some kind of medium or something where she could interact with spirits? I don't know. This, I don't want to go on a tandem here, but she told us a story that's been like past time through the family that one of her neighbors was a mother and a daughter and a really close friends and the daughter had passed away quite young and she was my grandma's friend when she was young and the mother just insane as you would lose in your daughter. And she kept on having dreams that she was alive, she was buried alive and this woman had paid two scouses to go and dig the site where she was buried and she was buried alive and from that moment, my nan just apparently switched to believing everything. So that was like the opening story to everything for her and I don't know if that opens anything for her to believe in unnatural things, but yeah. Okay, just to roll it back a tad. So she knew somebody whose daughter was believed to be dead, but then that person had a vision that she was buried alive and then they dug up the daughter and she was still alive. She passed, but they found scratch marks. Oh shit. And then she was that she'd been buried alive, but apparently for weeks, her mother was just going crazy saying that she's alive, she's alive and eventually some people dug a duck truck for and yeah. Well, that's just like double awful for the mother. I know. I thought you were saying they like dug her out and she was like surprise and I was like, kind of a happy ending. It's like surprise. No, she's still, she's still dead. Yeah. No, the last way to go, if any. Oh, okay. Well, wow. Didn't expect that. That's obviously intense. Yeah. Yeah. Well, yeah. So let's jump into your, your story that you're here to share with us and set it up for us because I think the, you know, when you were talking about vibes earlier, I think the, the location and what you were there to do makes the story even more interesting because it's not what you would expect to happen. Yeah. So I was on a girls weekend as far and this far is a beautiful old mill converted into an eco-spart and this mill is like 400 years old. It's really, really old building, beautiful, can't even imagine how big it is. Maybe like three or four double deck of buses high. It's massive. There's apartments in there, swimming pools in there. We had gone for a weekend and would stayed in one of the apartments. I drove the short stroll and got one of the worst beds in the living room on a sofa bed and I was in there with a friend and, you know, we had spa treatments, had dinner, gone to bed relatively early and I'd woken up about five, five, 30 because I had neck pain in the spa after a treatment. So I thought I've got to get up, maybe use the spa facilities first and, you know, just feel better. But I got up, I got dressed, went downstairs. It was closed, came in, crept back in, everyone was still in bed, still like quite dark but not entirely black because the summer, I guess, was just about to rise. So quite hazy in the room. And I was just sat on the sofa, kind of propped up with my heads against the armrests, laying lengthways on the sofa and I was going on my phone and I keep on feeling like this tickle on my arm and it happened one too many times and I thought, "Oh my God, this is a spider." And that's the worst thing, at the time I thought it could be. So I shot up really quickly and looked in the direction where I was and there was no spider there. But my eyes kind of focused on this small silhouette. All I could really see was a top of a head and I started it for what felt like maybe an hour and I was thinking it's my reflection and is it my shadow? Is it a silhouette? Is it a piece of furniture that's making this shape? And my heart was like swallowed. I knew, I was very scared and I think I kind of knew that it wasn't something normal. But that's like right now, this is my reflection, I kept my eye on it and I went back to doing what I was doing and then I see it kind of creep back up over the sofa. And again, I shoot up on a look at it and again, trying to calculate, "What is this? What is this?" And that's when I think I'm convinced that it kind of played with me because it moved in front of me and I went closer and it's like this thing, whatever it was, came closer and I saw first just an awful mouse with horrible, mouldy teeth, straw wire hair, like black spaghetti strands and like a sickly like greenish gray skin. I described it as golem because it did look like golem to me but I don't recall it having or remembering any eyes, it was just teeth, hair and skin. So I shouted, I won't say what I shouted, I said, "What is that really loud?" Because I was scared and I woke all of the girls up, they turned the lamp on, they looked behind the sofa and I was so embarrassed, I was like, "It's a bad dream, I must have had a really bad dream and then we were coming up, we had breakfast, went on for the rest of the day and it was kind of like a joke how Jordan had seen this goblin which I'd called it to everyone." And that was the first time I saw it. I just can't imagine, I mean calling it golem is really, I mean not that I saw it but that really paints a vivid picture and then you add in the hair and the teeth but what gets me is the no eyes. So you're at this point, you've experienced it, you've tried to kind of play light to it a little bit with your friends that are at the spa but as that day is progressing or you just constantly replaying that in your head trying to figure out what happened. Yeah, so that happened the day that we left and I'd gone home and my mother-in-law was one of the girls on the trip and at the time we were living with them and she comes home and she tells my father-in-law and my partner, "Oh, tell everyone what you saw." And I was like, "Yeah, yeah, it's all golem, yeah." And then when I was on my own with my partner I said, "I really did see something." And as I said, he is a skeptic and he was convinced that I had a lucid dream, I had some sort of sleep paralysis but typically I think I would agree with him but it was the fact that I'd got up and I'd got dressed and I left the room and then I'd come back and there was too much, there was just too much reality to it for me to think that this was a dream or it could have been a lucid dream but it was on my mind for a while and it stayed with me because I'm pretty sure it followed me about three months after that. And when that happened did you feel threatened in any way or did you feel like it was just a visitor in the room with you? I think I was a bit paranoid, I wouldn't say I was threatened and I was definitely paranoid and every time something moved out the corner of my eye because I kept on the thinking that things are moving around me, maybe like small cats but never having any visual of what they were because it's always in my peripheral, I say they look like cats because of how quickly and how small they were to the ground and how quick they went past and every time I saw something I'd turn and dart really quickly and nothing was ever there but it only stayed within the house, it was never beyond the four walls and when it started to, when it started to, I still don't believe that it happened so when I say these, when it started to move things, I keep on thinking like was it me that moved it, like I'm convinced that I must have, I must have self-induced it because the thought of it being real is actually terrifying or terrifying in the experience itself. I've got a little dog, she's a sausage dog and a jackrussle, so she's very loud and barky most days. And it, like I said, this happened for about three months. It must have been early November now. She's outside having a wig, and she's growling at the fence. And I thought this is probably a fox, usually a fox. And I started to hear, like, taps, like rocks falling, but like wands, not heavy wands. And then one landed really close to me, and I saw, and it was a peanut. Now we've got a peanut table at the back of the garden that we usually have, like, leave out for the birds. There's no no tunnel birds other than ours that live in euros, and they're very rare here in the UK now. And I look in the direction, and I see this is very sounds ridiculous. I see, like, a child's arm, like a baby's arm, but very muscular. I've got a laugh because it's, I've got a laugh. You've got to make him out of most things to make it easy to talk about, but it was grabbing peanuts and throwing at me, and at me and the dog. And it was a short, muscular, silvery, grey-ish arm, and I just knew, like, the colour of its skin, and I was, like, I'm not even messing around with this. And I just ran inside, I thought to my dog when I was cooking Wendy, and I was, like, get inside Wendy. Lock the door, and I just had, like, my face pressed up against the glass, like, because I didn't want to turn the lights on, because I didn't want whatever it was to see me, that it was there. I was just staring and I just couldn't see anything, anything else that happened, but... That is wild. Yeah, you know, if I was in America, I'd say it could have been a raccoon, because they like to pick things up and chug things. That's muscular. This baby-armed wreck that terrorised the states. Direct things that you... Oh my God, I just, I don't even know. I mean, that's wild. So you must have been, at a minimum, startled, probably terrified once that happened. Did you, and I'm cheating because I know how the story ends, but what did you do to try to get some relief from the situation? So when that happened, that's when I thought it's probably not me going crazy, because it was actually something like tangible happening in front of me, those things that shouldn't be landed in front of me, landed in front of me. And I started looking up online, things like spiritual attachments, or weird things in folklore. Like I came up with Hobgoblins, but apparently they're useful around the house, and this thing wasn't useful whatsoever. I mean, at one point, I found my toothbrush in the fridge, and I guess thinking, "Is this new going crazy?" But if this was this thing doing it, it's definitely not useful. Things were like being thrown off the wall and off the table, and it was just, when I say throwing it, it fell sorry, and it was just, it wasn't useful. So definitely it wasn't that something called an imp, which is a bit more demonish, which is absolutely terrifying, which I just struggled to ever think about anything like that could exist. But it does kind of suit the vibe with how it looks with its hair and its mischieviness, and then even while I've since posted in the video, people have been saying, "No, it's probably a brownie, or someone said a gin, there's loads of theories." But online, I saw all of this stuff, and I was like, "This is a bit too overwhelming, I don't know what this is." And one day during Christmas shopping, I'm in this old bookshop, and there's a spiritual shop opposite of me, and I keep on staring at it thinking, "Do I go in? This is ridiculous if I go in? Okay, I'm going to go in," and I knew from other videos about saging a house. I was going in there for the intention to go by some sage, and I was just in the shop browsing passage, to speak to anybody, don't ask any questions, don't get involved in any sort of conversation about this stuff, because in all honesty, I didn't believe in it, but I thought I wanted to try and get rid of this thing if there is one. And this woman comes up to me, and I don't believe that she works there, and I just feel a handle on my shoulder, and she kind of looked like me, but a bit older, maybe like 45 to 50, and she just said, "Again, I don't mean to alarm you," and other than those, "I don't mean to be scared," but there's something attached to you, and my face must have just said it all, and she said, "Don't talk about it, because it likes scaring you, and it feeds off of you being scares, or you just go home and light a white candle, it doesn't have to be like a candle from this shop, just even a tea light will do," and I'm going to a safe space, like the candle, and tell this thing to leave, you need to be dominant, and I just look to her and I kind of nod it, and then she just like turned and walked away, so I go home, I go out, a little tea light, and this tea light like sat on my windowsill for, I want to say, a couple of days, and one day when I was alone, I made sure I shot my door downstairs, and I shut the bedroom door, and I opened the window, and I lit this candle, and it took a big bit of courage for me to actually say these things, as I can't believe I'm saying it, so I googled positive mantras to say, to get a spiritual entity away from me, I don't think I mentioned, but the lady said that I had a low vibrational spiritual entity attached to me, which I didn't know anything about the time, and when I googled that, low vibrational tends to mean negative energy, so whatever it was, it was negative, so I started looking up positive mantras to say things for it to leave, and I started saying this is my house, you're not welcome here, you need to leave, my house is full of love and light, I sat there kind of repeating it, and then this is what I said in the video that I sound delusional, because this happened to me, but I can't believe it happened to me that I tipped my head back, like I was looking straight up to the ceiling, and my mouth opened all the way, and I just let out this biggest relief like sigh, and it went on for like so long, and I just felt instant relief, and I kind of knew at that point that it'd gone, it left me alone, or it'd come to an agreement that wasn't going to bother me anymore, and I blew out the candle, I shut the window, and I felt a bit like tingly like when you're cold and hot at the same time, if that makes sense, when you're sick, I kind of felt like that, but I also felt really happy, and that's when it ended, yeah, it's a bit weird, isn't it? It's amazing, I mean it's really almost cinematic the way you describe, or like something from a book, you know, you were looking back and forth at this shop, and I feel like it's such like a UK setting too, and then you go in and this lady wanders up to you, and it's just, it's amazing, well I'm glad that it seems like it's resolved itself, have you had anything else happen since then? Well, people in the video would convince that they hear a whisper at the end, and I don't want to believe that there is a whisper at the end, apparently after I say, I don't know, I say something like upstairs, and then someone hears "it's me" or "I'm still here", and yeah I'm just gonna pretend that that didn't happen or, yeah, no thanks, yeah, I'm going to be there, I'm over it, but when I made the video, towards the end I start speaking a lot slower because I'm aware that I can hear things like my surrounding, and when I say low vibration or spiritual entity in the video, it sounds like somebody's above me, you know, all of our houses are creaky and whatever, and I honestly thought that a family member was upstairs and moving around, it sounded like they sat on the bed, and then they got up and were walking around, so as soon as I filmed the video, like, what was five minutes long, went up and I shied when anyone was there, my dog's like grinding at the bottom of the stairs, so I went upstairs, and no one was in the house, I just thought I just don't want anything like this to happen again, but we've been moving lately, so everyone in the video is saying you need to light a light candle again, and you broke the ritual because you spoke about it by telling us, but yeah, I just haven't had the time to tell me why candle here. Just random peanuts, start getting thrown at you as you walk outside, that's, now as far as, you know, the other people that live in the home, did they experience anything strange during this time period, or were you the only one who experienced it? No, it was only me, and in a way, that's what makes me think that it can be explained because it's when I'm the only witness, it's only my truth and reality, so it's really hard to convince people that, yeah, felt like this happened. Well, I believe you, I mean, you don't have anything to gain by lying up, I mean, you know, it's, it's, yeah, I've been doing this for almost four years, I keep saying almost four years, it must be past four years now, interviewing people, and I've heard so many ghost stories, and, you know, when you start this, because I was fairly skeptical when I started, even though I had had an experience when I was younger, you start to hear all these stories, and you realize there is something going on, you know, you can't interview 300 plus people, and they all got together in a room, and like, we're gonna lie to Noah on his podcast, goddammit. You know, so, so I'm not one to say that I have the answers, or I've heard the answers, but I do believe there are things that we can't explain, I mean, there's things that we see, things that we hear, you know, you were, I mean, the way you describe that first instance of seeing that, like, face just come as so scary, but I'm glad you're okay, and I appreciate your bravery in sharing this story, especially after the lady told you not to talk. I did, I did say, I've literally just moved house, and like, I convinced, before I even made the video, I convinced myself and my partner that our house was haunted, because I don't know if you're familiar with the end field haunted, but no, that's a really good English horror story, it's, Ed and Lorraine Warren came over to do a case on it, and it's really interesting, my house looks just like that, it's the 1930s home that one owner had, and his name was John, and we convinced that John's in the house, so as soon as I moved in, I saged the house, and again, while I was alone, I was scrubbing the floor like cleaning, and the door slammed so loud, like, when a window's open, it slammed that loud, but there was no window open, of course, that there never is, and I was like, I think I need something stronger than a sage stick, so I went the spiritual shelf, and she gave me like sage and lavender, and some like rose, because apparently that's a protection, that's like John, we're gonna look after your house, we're gonna live here, but it's our house now, like, leave us alone, so, yeah, I'd probably get some white candles and put me in every room, probably in this house, I just picked you one day, you're trying to go about this in such a right, nice, kind way, and one day you just go, fuck it, and get a shotgun. You're me, wow, well, I hope that things continue for you in a peaceful way, I know that must have been a pretty unreal, stressful situation, and they're gonna happen, maybe they'll happen to your partner, so where they can be a believer, you know, anything. I hope it does, yeah, honestly, well, no, I hope it does, I don't know, but I think I'd, you know, it is really interesting, hearing all these stories, and I love listening to podcasts and sales stories, and I read them on Reddit, I think I'm comfortable not experiencing anything again, and I get entertainment from it like a horror movie, I just don't want to be in it. So, I get down the same way, when I had my last experience in Vegas, you know, retrospectively looking at it, you think I would have just rolled over and been like, so tell me about being a ghost, no, I freaked out and ended up with the covers over my head, because I didn't want it to be a real thing. So totally interesting, I mean, there are people out there that they want that to happen to them all the time, they go out, and not me, I don't get it, I don't understand that mind frame, it's super frightening to me, and I think that's why I enjoy hearing the stories so much. Well again, thank you for coming on, as we wrap up, work in our audience, if they want to learn more about you and see what your world is all about, where can they kind of follow along your journey? It's in my TikTok, and that's just @JordanAshley, Ashley Spelt, A-S-H-L-E-I-Dibble, I-G-H, pretty much always on there, talking, waffling on. Great, one of the people I interviewed about shared their story, and she didn't realize that she had never, I guess, changed her TikTok name, and she must have been pretty young, like, I would say, 22 to 22, and her name was like, "feetqueen37", and I was like, "Do you want me to say your TikTok name?" She's like, "Yeah, that's fine." I think she was thinking it was just like, whatever the other name is, and then I was like, "Okay, well you can find her at @feetqueen." She was like, "Let's go with the Instagram name, I forgot." With that, I'm Noah Daniels, and I'm Sheldon, whoo!
