MDA Grooves brings his sophomore release to Universo Positivo entitled ‘Batucada Lounge’. This comes hot on the heels of ‘One Good Day’ released in September. The original TINK! Records artist brings more Latin flavoured goodness to the fledgling Portuguese-Dutch imprint that was founded by 90s Amsterdam label and studio owner Joseph Salvador. Having played around with sounds from many different cultures, MDA Grooves is a musical fusionist with a passion for all things tropical. Joining the dots between various Latin and Afro styles and similarly dance music genres of disco, funk ,and house. This EP is an effervescent and effortlessly brilliant set that includes a scorching Latin dancefloor workout of the opening cut, to the glorious Afro-disco house remix by Dutch techno pioneer Orlando Voorn, to the afrobeat ‘Underground Carnaval Mix’ which closes out the EP in the glorious technicolour of the world-renowned Rio De Janeiro carnival after dark.
